AVERAGE RATING OF ALL REVIEWS: 2.7 Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Review by Indicine Rating: The first half of PRDP flows freely and the story moves along nicely whilst establishing the characters. The biggest problem with the movie is that the conflict doesn’t seem to be too big for it to matter later on when the conflict gets solved. However, we don’t mind this because Prem Dilwale’s innocent antics keep the film flowing and the audiences will like Salman’s act. The football match sequence and the sequence where Prem mends the relationship of Vijay with his step-sisters are the standout sequences. There are a fair few illogicalities too like the placement of a palace on the edge of a waterfall. At the end of the 160 minute duration, PRDP manages to make everyone smile and the emotions end up working which should in turn make the film work amongst the family audiences.

Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will be the shortest film that he has made with Salman Khan in the lead. His first film ’Maine Pyar Kiya’ was 3 hours 15 minutes long. ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ was 3 hours 26 minutes and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ was the longest film with a runtime of 3 Hours 48 minutes. PRDP, with a time of 2 hours 51 minutes, will be their shortest film. However, when compared to other Salman films in the recent past, the runtime of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is on the higher side.

Censor Board orders 3 small cuts for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, film gets U certificate

The Censor Board of Film Certification has ordered three cuts from the upcoming Salman Khan starrer ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. The movie, which is directed by Sooraj Barjatya, has a scene where the word ‘rakhail’ is used and the censor board wanted it to be removed. Barjatya is considered to be the cleanest directors and PRDP will be one of the few films to come out of Bollywood that will get the ‘cleanest’ certificate, which is ‘U’.
