Hrithik Roshan has quite easily won the media created box office battle between him and Harry Potter. According to early estimates on Box Office India, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara riding almost entirely on the star power of its lead star has collected more than Rs 7.5 crores in India on Day 1.
Harry Potter on the other hand released in both English and Hindi-dubbed versions has collected around Rs 4.5 crores, which is pretty good for a Hollywood release.
Clearly, ZNMD is way ahead of the competition and is likely to end its Friday as the second biggest Day 1 grosser of the year. Behind Ready, which not only had a open week but also carried tremendous mass appeal.
The trade had predicted doom for ZNMD even before its release, as it didn’t exactly have the hype nor the buzz that usually surrounds big star releases. The box office opening of the film reaffirms the fact that Hrithik is still one of the very few bankable stars in the industry.

Hypocracy at best, you said nothing new from what haters are saying. Yes he is genius at promotion, a brilliant buisiness man, had a fantastic script sense but that should take nothing from his acting skills, coz even before that admiration for Aamir’s method and strategy he shelled out great performances like those in Sarfarosh, Ghulam, Rangeela, AAA, Earth…it’s just because ge is a sucessful filmmaker deos not mean that should overshadow his acting skills, you gotta wait for Aamir’s Reema kagti’s next to see his real acting skills. Also i don’t understand why people want crappy films with good performances why should the film be loud so that the performance get appreciation, i mean why can’t we have a good film and at the same time a good performance and that’s what Aamir is doing RDB-3I-DCH-Lagaan-TZP all were great film but does that mean Aamir did not act well? Those films were well-maid and equally well acted.
