Hrithik Roshan has quite easily won the media created box office battle between him and Harry Potter. According to early estimates on Box Office India, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara riding almost entirely on the star power of its lead star has collected more than Rs 7.5 crores in India on Day 1.
Harry Potter on the other hand released in both English and Hindi-dubbed versions has collected around Rs 4.5 crores, which is pretty good for a Hollywood release.
Clearly, ZNMD is way ahead of the competition and is likely to end its Friday as the second biggest Day 1 grosser of the year. Behind Ready, which not only had a open week but also carried tremendous mass appeal.
The trade had predicted doom for ZNMD even before its release, as it didn’t exactly have the hype nor the buzz that usually surrounds big star releases. The box office opening of the film reaffirms the fact that Hrithik is still one of the very few bankable stars in the industry.

If you think Aamir could not act before Lagaan then you’re wrong, watch 1947 Earth and Sarfarosh from 1999, go n watch rangeela(1995), Ghulam(1998), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar(1992), DHKMN(1991), Dil(1990), HHRPK(1993), Andaz Apna Apna(1994), QSQT(1988)….all those were way better films than those unrealistic childich films of Hrithik who has 2 or 3 watchable films. Tell me apart from Jodhaa Akbar, KNPH, and ler’s say Lakshya which were his other watchable films? Dhoom2, Krrish, Koi mil gaya? Before saying anything you must research well, because Aamir has become pouplar only from Lagaan does not mean he was not good before, if you guys will always bring up Mela in eevry topin then we can also bring MPKDH and AMALL too.
And BTW Aamir has 5 films top grossers(QSQT, Dil, Raja Hindustani, Ghajini and 3Idiots), 3 ATBB 2 of them respectivly and both broken records.

But you dude when you bring up Mela here your post sounds ridiculous and makes no sense, that was a bad choice and every actor made wrong choices but to say that only after Lagaan Aamir Khan has become creative is a big shot. Just before Mela Aamir gave two of the finest performances of Indian cinema: and that is Sarfarosh where he played the role of Ajay Rathod the cop and performed superbly you can watch the film and you’ll ge to undersand what i’m talking about. Also he acted in Earth in the same year and what a performance! One remains speechless after seeing him acting that way you must understand that too when you watch the film.
For me kites(or let’s say shites) was nothing better than Mela. Mela in 2000 sucked and was rejected in the same way like Kites in 2010.
Papa Roshan fails to realise that it is not year 2000 anymore that we’ll be impressed by Kaho Naa Pyar Hai’s “Ek Pal Ka Jeena”. Hrithik needs to learn few more moves and stop the ones that he’s been practising since his 5th standard’s parents day function.
So The same mistake Aamir made it in 2000 Hrithik made it in 2010.
Just don’t talk out of context. And to say that Salman Khan has only Dabangg as watchable movie is also laughable, don’t u watch movies of the 90’s? And since we receive more than 500 comments every day, its hard to go through each one of them. Maybe we should soon hire a moderator. :) But frankly, if you go through old topics, you’ll realize that the quality of comments is better now. Do go through some old articles and their comments.
Regarding Fathiya, we did try to contact her. Not about comments, but to know if she was doing fine. She has deleted both her email ids through which she used to contact us (mails are bouncing back) and she hasnt been commenting on one other site where she pretty active either.
