Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has collected Rs 62.1 crore in it’s first weekend at the box office. The Ranbir Kapoor – Deepika Padukone starrer collected 19.5 crore on Friday, 20 crore on Saturday and 22.5 crore on Sunday – the growth in business over the weekend was phenomenal.
The fact that the film picked up marginally on it’s second day, after a record-breaking opening day, is in itself a major feat which not many films have achieved in the recent past (unless Day 2 was a national holiday).
The trending though, was quite similar to other post-IPL releases like Rowdy Rathore and Ready, although both those films dropped slightly on Day 2. (stay tuned for the comparison, will be published shortly)

Had your Srk got his hands on Rajus 3 idiots script then the film would have ended up as follows:-
– The roles of all 3 idiots would have been portrayed by Srk in a triple role.
– Bomans role would have gone to Shreyas Talpade.
– There would be 3 heroines for Srk to romance, Deepika, Anushka and Piggy Chops.
– There would be ‘criminal’ type Item songs every 5 mins.
– There would be hanky panky every 15 mins, after all this is what college is all about.
– Srk would insist on fighting a baddie, say a bad boy on campus so Srks best buddy Arjun Rampal will be offered this role…!
All in all the Film would have been an All Time Disaster and we the audience would not have been given the chance to see what a 200 cr club looked like…! :-P

@rana Yeah I agree SRK fans make up excuses as and when it suits them and now that Ranbir has completely outshone SRK in a romantic film they now say YJHD is youthful energetic film as opposed to JTHJ which was an old mans flick type movie…!
