Trailer of Mohenjo Daro reaches more than 30 million people worldwide

The theatrical trailer of Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ had a massive launch on Monday. The makers decided not to hold a press screening of the trailer and instead opted to release it on the Star TV network – which reaches out to a huge section of the audience.

A press statement says, the trailer was viewed by more than 30 million people worldwide on Star Network channels. The trailer was played as a three minute full trailer via a roadblock on their network channels at 8:57 PM Indian Standard Time.

Written, produced and directed by Gowariker, the epic adventure-romance is set in the city of Mohenjo Daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation which dates back to 2600 BC.

“We are extremely thrilled with the positive response to the motion poster and first look posters of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ and couldn’t wait to share the trailer. Television still continues to be one of the best and fastest way to reach out to viewers across age groups, segments and length and breadth of the country and in this case globally” Ashutosh Gowarikar said in a statement.

“We thought it would be an ideal platform to release the film’s trailer which deserves to be seen by all as part of a special roadblock across the Star Network. We also made the trailer available across digital platforms as well as part of the launch” he added.

The trailer has also received more than 1.6 million views on Youtube in less than 15 hours after its launch.

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is scheduled to hit theatres on August 12.

Meanwhile, the trailer has become the second most commented trailer page on our website – crossing the 500 comments mark. It has also received more than 1.6 lakh views in less than a day.

Stay tuned to read more on the trade and audience response to the theatrical trailer of Mohenjo Daro.

The crocodile Was Fantastic In D Trailer,Can’t Say D Same thing About Hrithik..Plain Average!

Rustom Will Crush 150 Budget Poor Scale Movie Mohanjodaro! Just look at bajirao mastani’s cinematography.. instead of paying 50-60 cr to hrithik they should have Spent more on sets and VFX!

  • Oohh indicine. .. you will give every good details and news as long it about Mohenjo Daro. A film that has been in the making for more than two yrs end up with mediocre VFX.

  • Mohenjodaro deserve Big Holiday release like EDX, Arrogant Salman should be retire from the industry,
    # Boycott Sultan

  • Sundi Makkiholic is so obsessed with Hrithik as he is even checking if Hrithik went to the toilet or not for the day! LMAO! Man did you went and checked his ‘following’ count one by one…you must be so jobless I can imagine to bring out these kind of stats! Lol!

  • Bakwas Trailer ! Acting bhi avrage thi hrithik ki or 8000 saal pehle white log hote the kya ? French kiss krte the log ? Jackets pants pehnte the log means Kuch bhi ? ? Or ek or baat magarmach bhi udhte the us time jesa trailer me dikhare : D bakwas hogi film

  • The real motive of the trailer is to reach out to as many people as possible, and 30 million people saw the trailer in 3 minutes only via Star Network!

This has to be a masterstroke and ‘trendsetting’ marketing strategy by MohenjoDaro team.

  • By premiering the trailer on TV that too on a prime time slot the makers have ensured that the reach of the trailer is HUGEEE and it reaches both urban and rural audience. Mohenjo Daro obviously is targeting to rake good money from both multiplexes and single screens so this strategy of premiering the trailer on TV was simply superb!

  • @sunny he has also unfollowed his icon big B what does that mean??? and whats the benefit of unfollowing akki on twitter to hritik
    comment without any logic

  • Loved it first time but just liked second time. Tbh, I think there is something missing about the trailer. I don’t know what’s it but hey let’s hope the movie becomes a a blockbuster.

  • I think great trailer but can’t wait for akshay sir RUSTOM because in 2016 Airlift and housefull 3 both are super- hit so….

  • Only those people who were expecting it to be a VFX spectacular like Baahubali (fantasy/fiction) may be disappointed. I was expecting it to be on the lines of Jodhaa Akbar and Lagaan, and I loved it. They will probably compare Shivaay and every other big movie to Baahubali, which won’t be right.

  • Hrithik unfollows akshay he’s shown his true colour let’s see his historical drama will be able to break ranbir simple low budget rocom yjhd

  • Star Network also confirmed that MohenjoDaro trailer was seen by more people (30 Million) than trailer of other biggies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and PRDP across their network.

  • I guess those who like movies such as: Ready, Dabang, Jai Ho, Bodyguard will not appreciate this trailer

  • Baahubali comparison made me write this comment….
    Flaws Of Baahubali…
    1) How can a lady flow in water for long time with same hand position lifting baby. (oops no logic found)
    2) Mountain Climbing scenes were so laughable.. Many will agree with me. (Must be spirit of Baahubali helped him)
    3) Tatoos on Tammana and prabhas body… Painting under water(seriously??)
    4) Snowstorm sequence was poorly shown(oops no one is complaining)
    5) One small rock saves baahubali and another man from falling ( when bhallaldev leave rope to kill baahubali.)
    6) that cutter of Bhallaldeva used in War as well as that Gada spring lol.. …

All these factors make movie childish and illogical according to so called intellectuals but still movie worked and did huge business bcz of Directors vision was great… He believed in product, he shiwn some over the top scenes but that got neglected in thw the end bcz of greatly shot war scenes… So

In the same manner Mohenjo Daro director has a vision in his mind abt Indus valley Civilization world and he simply set his story there… For gid sake he is not making Documentary on Mohenjodaro or Super hero movie full of CGI and VFx…
He simply want to show story of Revenge drama with action and romance with Indus vally as a backdrop.
So please Respect his vision, wait till movie release, go watch movie after great reviews and witness story of a Man set in Mohenjo Daro Era.

Hussshhh…. I was always a silent Indicine visitor but these comparisons and Hates made me comment this stuff.
(By the way I had watched Baahubali 3 times in theaters and I lovedd itt….)

  • lol cheap marketing n manipulation starts why u never give articke like this when salman films trailer telecast it has got just 9lakhs views in 12hrs in youtube like dislike ratio is also poor so its a flop public rejected it

  • hahaha looks like Burnol sales are on an all time high…guys like Makkiholic, Ultron and many others would need loads of them…Lolz!

  • Baahubali fans will take some time to understand not every movie can match the VFX standard of Baahubali, which was USP of the movie as 50% of movie was all VFX. MohenjoDaro doesn’t need much VFX like Jodhaa Akbar other than showing few large structures, it’s USP is exploration of an ancient era. It does not have war sequences and fighting sequences are real.

  • oh yeah and people are complaining about french kiss…whether it existed on that era and all….mere pyaare bhailog if people in that era knew to do sex then why can’t they knew to french kiss LMAO! …..atleast have some sane before publishing rubbish hahaha…French kiss is not something that was introduced in the 19th century….and moreover these people will happily watch Hollywood movies like Troy, 10000 BC, 300 and many more without complaining about the dress codes, kisses and all…get a life and grow up morons…

  • Mohenjo Daro Trailer Review
Finally, Mohenjo Daro trailer was released yesterday. The film features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hedge in the lead roles. The trailer has crossed 1.4 million views on Youtube in 17 hours.
    Synopsis:
It tells the story of Hrithik as Sarman who is an Indigo farmer. The trailer sees Hrithik’s character based in some other location, but he has a tremendous urge to visit Mohenjo Daro as he always feels a certain connection with this place. He falls in love with Pooja Hegde, who plays the character named Chaani in the film. She is seen in a regal avatar decked in a bejewelled head gear and a blue and red outfit. Kabir Bedi is shown as the ruler of Mohenjo Daro. Hrithik is also seen in some intense action sequences in the film.
The expectations were too damn high from the trailer. However, it is quite safe to say that it has failed to live up to that. But it is Hrithik Roshan’s superb act which stands out in the whole trailer. He looks perfect to play the lead role. There are also massive sets, extensive fight sequences and an authentic voice over. It has a realistic touch as compared to fantasy films.
What disappoints us is VFX which is below standards. These days, youth watches Game of Thrones and it will not be easy to fool them. The visuals also remind you of Jodha Akbar and Baahuali. Pooja Hedge’s character looks beautiful and shares a good chemistry with HR. The villain should have been better. We also miss A.R Rahman’s magic at least in the trailer. Maybe they have saved the best for the film. The trailer is also missing a kick or a mindboggling punch.
One thing more, it has nothing to do with Mohenjo Daro civilization.
    Mohenjo Daro Trailer Review: Verdict
The trailer is a good one, however, our expectations were too damn high. The focus is more on the plot rather than showing the actual civilization. Hrithik Roshan is splendid as an ancient named Sarman. It will also be interesting to see how this civilization ended as there is a hit towards the end. We have confidence in Ashutosh Gowarikar as trailer sometimes cannot show the film’s scale.
As far as box office potential is concerned, it will depend on the storyline.
    Rating:
    3.5/5

  • @Thug why you always bark shit from yr mouth.
