After two articles that covered the Top 15 Actors in India and Top 8 Actors in the Overseas markets, we have the final analysis of the Top Bollywood Actors Worldwide.

Before we get down to the number game, we have the list of Top Actors in India and Top Bollywood Actors Overseas (click on the links to read the full article).

For the worldwide ranking, we decided to keep things simple. The net collections from India would be added to the gross overseas collections. Only the Top 8 established stars both in India and overseas would be considered. The rest would retain their India ranking in the worldwide list too.

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan

Rank 1 Aamir Khan: Salman topped the India ranking list, while Shahrukh took the top spot overseas. But when the total collections from India and overseas are combined, Aamir emerges as the top star. On an average, each Aamir film collects about ? 244 crore worldwide!

  • Dhoom 3 – 469 cr
  • Talaash – 144 cr
  • 3 Idiots – 360 cr
  • Ghajini – 162 cr
  • Taare Zameen Par – 82 cr
  • Total – ? 1,217 cr (average ? 243.4 cr per film)
Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan at Baba Siddiqui's Iftaar party

Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan

Rank 2 Shahrukh Khan: Easily the most consistent star both in India and overseas, Shahrukh would probably top the list if more than 5 or career films are taken into account. He could also be the only star in the history of Indian Cinema whose films have consistently made an impact worldwide in the last 15 years or so. But with films like Dhoom 3 and 3 Idiots, Aamir has overtaken him by a margin of 18 crore per film. Will the gap widen after the release of PK? Or will Happy New Year go on to be an all time grosser worldwide?

  • Chennai Express - 341 cr
  • Jab Tak Hai Jaan – 202 cr
  • Don 2 – 180 cr
  • Ra. One – 191 cr
  • My Name Is Khan – 212 cr
  • Total - ? 1,126 cr (average ? 225.2 cr per film)

Rank 3 Salman Khan: Leads by a huge margin in India, but not quite in the league of Aamir and Shahrukh overseas, Salman ranks at No 3 worldwide. The gap between him and his arch-rival Shahrukh Khan is just ? 2.2 cr per film! Infact, there is very little in it between the Khans, who are by far the most popular Bollywood actors in the world. It would take something very special from Ranbir or Hrithik to match up to the three legends of Indian Cinema who turn 50 next year!

  • Kick - 302 cr
  • Jai Ho – 149 cr
  • Dabangg 2 – 211 cr
  • Ek Tha Tiger – 262 cr
  • Bodyguard – 191 cr
  • Total - ? 1,115 cr (average ? 223 cr per film)

Rank 4 Hrithik Roshan: Hrithik should significantly increase the average collections of his last 5 films as his upcoming October release Bang Bang would replace one of his career’s biggest disasters Kites. He retains his fourth spot.

  • Krrish 3 - 297 cr
  • Agneepath – 157 cr
  • Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara – 134 cr
  • Guzaarish - 49 cr
  • Kites - 76 cr
  • Total - ? 713 cr (average ? 142.6 cr per film)

Rank 5 Ranbir Kapoor: With two huge blockbusters, one critically acclaimed success and two failures, Ranbir, regarded by many as one of the best actors in the country, takes the 5th spot. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is his biggest worldwide blockbuster so far.

  • Besharam - 77 cr
  • Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani – 252 cr
  • Barfi! – 145 cr
  • Rockstar – 88 cr
  • Anjaana Anjaani – 59 cr
  • Total - ? 621 cr (average ? 124.2 cr per film)

Rank 6 Ajay Devgn: The huge success of Singham Returns has helped Ajay tremendously. He has gone past Akshay and also taken his average above 100 crore per film.

  • Singham Returns – 167 cr (expected)
  • Satyagraha – 77 cr
  • Himmatwala - 53 cr
  • Son of Sardaar - 119 cr
  • Bol Bachchan – 126 cr
  • Total - ? 542 cr (average ? 108.4 cr per film)

Rank 7 Akshay Kumar: The failure of OUATIMD hurt him big time. It was expected to be his first 200 crore grosser, instead it ended up as his least worldwide grosser. The combined business of OUATIMD in India and overseas is less than Boss! His June release Holiday: A Soldier is never off duty collected 138 cr worldwide.

  • Entertainment – 87 cr
  • Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty – 138 cr
  • Boss – 76 cr
  • Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobaara – 74 cr
  • Special 26 – 86 cr
  • Total - ? 461 cr (average ? 92.2 cr per film)

Rank 8 Saif Ali Khan: His romantic comedies have done well, but his most recent release ‘Humshakals’ was a failure worldwide. Race 2 is his biggest grosser to date.

  • Humshakals - 79 cr
  • Bullet Raja- 42 cr
  • Race 2 - 141 cr
  • Cocktail - 102 cr
  • Agent Vinod - 54 cr
  • Total - ? 418 cr (average ? 83.6 cr per film)

Note: Worldwide Total = India net + overseas gross. Entertainment taxes has been deducted from India business.

  • Biggest Shahrukh Khan Production

    Biggest Salman Khan Production

So SRK is King of Khans while other two need to grateful to YRF , Rajkumar Hirani and masala

  • As usual our king is the 3rd khan. The baadshah, king, global superstar who has billions of fans legs behind the actors who have few fans or no fans overseas. Poor King khan.

  • Good!!! Aamir is all about his recent movies. If the analysis is done for their whole career, you know who will be at the the top. It will be like SRK, Salman & Aamir.

@Indicine, why did you add overseas gross to India’s Nett? Why not overseas Gross+India Gross= Worldwide Gross? What’s the reason?

@Thullupun, we don’t need fake praising of you for SRK. We know what he is. You can’t say anything but try to divide fans as a certain bhojpuri fan has pointed out earlier.
The fact is Chakki&Papa’s Bournevita boy can never come close to the Khan trio. No matter how much jadu he receives from the jadu toy!! Copy cat papa’s boy, Bong Bob will be disaster..

  • Its not about who has been ruling Bollywood for how many years. Its all about who rules Bollywood now. Its not about past. Its about present. And everyone knows that Salman and aamir’s stardom is far more than srk. Some how his 3 billion fans are also ignoring him. Big shame. And as far as consistency is concerned, aamir and Salman have given many hits and blockbusters in 1990s as well. So better shut the mouth. Right now srk is not concistant. From 2008 onwards he has not given single highest grosser of the year. But hail to his illogical moron fans who will keep giving excuses day by day for god knows how many years?

  • Pk will open 40 crore club for opening day, not a single chance for HNY and BB
because HNY buzz is very low as compared to PK and bang bang
bang bang too will struggle to cross 30 Cr because of the clash with haidar. And lastly pk has every chance because it has one man army the king of Bollywood.

  • @Indicine, Good Analysis. By the way, is it possible for you to do whole career analysis of theirs. I hope you have done from 2000 onwards!

Yes,if it is fact, I accept that. But if a different analogy is used, the results might be different.

Salman was having a bad phase from 2006 to 2008 due to personal life problems and legal cases. So, he could not focus. But it is really heart-warming to see Salman is catching up the other two Khans so soon without working with big banners. (ETT is an exception.)

@Thullu, pity u Jaadoopuri budde. Stop dreaming for Jaadoo for top position. Instead, sleep holding a jaadoo doll like Nipin Senior always does. Handicapped Roshan can hardly do 40 movies in his whole career. So, how can he overtake the Khans?

  • i can understand if u take gross collection of india than salman ahead of srk but we knows ofter hny srk will be automatically ahead of salman but i m sure overseas will show great collection first from bajrangi bhaijaan than prdp my prediction of prdp overseas is 222crore rs. dnt forget hahk is first 100 crore world wide movie of India.

  • srk fans says that he is biggest star then why he everytime needs to promote his films so heavily.he knows that if he didn’t promote his films he will lag behind ajay, akshay and hrithik also.tell srk to release his films without promotion then we will see the result.his hny without promotion wouldn’t even touch 150 crores

  • @thullu akshay has better lineup of films but they also coming in every 2-3 months so I think they wouldn’t collect what they deserve.

  • @Shaggy : Are you running out of mind? Depending upon your logic :

    For Salman :

2000-KNPH >>>> Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge,Chal Mere Bhai,Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega
2001-K3G >>>>> Chori Chori Chupke Chupke
    2003-KMG>>>>>>>>> Tere Naam
    2006-Krish>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jaan-E-Mann
    2006-Dhoom2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jaan-E-Mann
    2008-Jodha Akbar>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Yuvraj,Heroes
    2013-Krrish3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dabangg2,Jai Ho

    For Amir :

    2000-KNPH>>>>>>>>>>>>Mela
    2001-K3G>>>>>>>>>>Dil Chahta Hai
    2006-Krrish>>>>>>>>>>>RDB
    2006-Dhoom2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Fanaa
    2011-ZNMD>>>>>>>>>>>Dhobi Ghat
    2012- Agneepath>>>>>>>>>>>Talaash

    Shocked …?

Now what would you say, Salman and Amir are not as famous as Hrithik?
If you don’t know anything , the simplest way is to remain quiet instead of making fun of yourself like this.
What actually you wanted to prove with the comparison of some selected movies of SRK and Hrithik.
I have nothing against Salman and Amir as they are also as famous and popular as SRK but I just wanted to open the eyes of an insane like you, who always believes in blabbering without any knowledge.
    Get a life …!

  • This is a big lie. Dhoom 3 grossed more than 500 crs. It’s first 500 cr movie worldwide. And in which world this site lives to say only 469 crs??

  • After mohenjodaro hrithik will be no. 1 in india and no.2 in overseas. Khans will vanish by king hrithik.

  • everything will change at the end of year. salman got 2 release this year that’s why occupying top position in domestic circuit. After release of hny srk will occupy top position.
salman without eid = jai ho ( above average).
    aamir without Christmas=talaash( above average).

  • @babaji you indirectly agreed with me that hr is no. #2 from 2000-2008 behind srk. I said exactly the same that HR is behind the khans till date, now be is behind all of 3, earlier behind srk. Than when he is no. 1.

  • Srk was #1? When? LOL

“Top Grossers of last 25 years”
    Salman has 8 films:
    1 .Maine Pyaar Kiya
    2 .Saajan (1991)
3 .Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994)
    4.Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999)
    5 .No Entry (2005)
    6. Dabangg (2010)
    7 .Bodyguard (2011)
    8 .Ek Tha Tiger (2012)

    Aamir has 5:
    1.Dil (1990)
    2 .Raja Hindustani (1996)
    3 .Ghajini (2008)
    4 .3 Idiots (2009)
    5 .Dhoom 3 (2013)

    SRK has 5:
    1.DDLJ (1995)
2 .Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)
    3.Devdas (2002)
    4.Veer Zaara (2004)
    5 .Om Shanti Om (2007)

Salman is the Biggest megastar and has been ruling since 25 years. Srk was never #1. Even his DDLJ failed to beat HANK.

  • @Babaji ka thullu It might be irritating for u but for me it was funny that 2 movies in last 5 movies of Aamir has collected more than Hrihik’s last 5 movies also there is no point in complaining as when i watched Krrish 3 in multiplex i found many scenes which were irritating but i never complained especially that slowest song ever ‘Dil tu hi bata’ which was like never ending song and many people thought that it was interval and gone outside for tea, snacks and washroom and when they returned the song was still going on and many completed their nap during that song.lol

  • People dont want to give credit to Rohit Shetty. Name one film of Srk which crossed 120 crore other than CE? Even Rohit Shetty’s SR crossed 120 crore almost in first week and did 145 crore lifetime.

  • @babaji, 1990-2000 Salman had more successful movies than Aamir nd teesra khan. Oh sry hw can knw bcoz u born after 2000.

  • @indicine u published my comment today and posted on truly position no.5 On 1st page but its usless now u should have posted yesterday ,right 5 mint after my comment :(

  • It speaks volumes about SRK’s star power and consistency when it takes salman and aamir fans to be in the same team together to stand against SRK. The few aamir fans that are out there know their star hardly has any stardom but heavily relies on good scripts and movies (not that its a bad thing). And salman fans know salman only works in india and that too with south remakes and masala movies only.

  • Aamirs recent form is like nothing seen before..,, his next PK will be huge in overseas for sure and in Indias its gonna be massive nearer its release…!

I can see Aamir leading in all 3 races by the year end for sure…! 2015 will be be all about Sarkar n Salman as Aamir is absent so gaps will be narrowed n leads overhauled.

  • HA HA TOO MUCH FUN STARTED ALREADY.

    IN THE END OF 2014:

KING SRK WILL BE THE NO.1 INDOMESTIC,OVERSEAS AND WORLDWIDE.

@babaji,1st let your hr to make rehearsal of guzarish 1st then you’ll place KING SRK-15 FILMFARE WINNER behind those loser papa’s boy and tingulal IN TERMS OF ACTING.
