The year is quickly coming to an end and we finally have the Top 10 Weekend Collections of 2014 – the final list. The last big release of the year, Aamir Khan’s PK, has come second in the list.
Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year is the highest weekend grosser of the year and the only film to cross Rs 100 crore in its first weekend.
The Khans top the year yet again, but they also got the three best release periods (Eid, Diwali and Christmas) along with increased ticket prices and wide releases.

Pk on the roll all over,in a year when every superstar has a universal film in their hand and also supporting other brand with them.
Salman has eid and remake.
Srk has blockbuster srk-farah-dp combo moreover Chennai express pair repeat.
Hrithik has Kat which is undoubtly most popular actress current time with Dhoom kind of role and remake factor
Ajay come back with Singham sequal.
Akshay got a solo post IPL release with a remake of Ghajini fame director and last Aamir with Hirani.
I don’t thing any body has any excuse if their film not done as expected from them.
I think kick and Singham returned performed well while bang bang,holiday,hny collected decent but they underperformed.
While jao ho underperformed big time.
I think kick huge success dent Singham returns collection otherwise SR would collect around 160-165cr after flying start.
Now PK is looking to score big at boxoffice after huge weekend both in domestic and overseas.
At last Aamir passed with flying colours.

And one point note Indicine HNY has 3 day holiday in his weekend still film slightly aged than d3 as far as official figure while trade saying d3 all India version is higher than hny all India weekend.
HNY and CE both have best weekend in last 2 year but I am happy that Aamir still beat srk with d3 and get very close to with PK on non holiday.
@nilesh – i agree khans are at such a level that they really dont need to do films that turn out to be the highest grossers of the year…..as audience we expect them to really experiment, take the industry to newer heights, create new benchmarks not only in terms of business but in terms of scripts, stories, concepts, productions etc….in other words take the industry to new levels, new directions encouraging others to follow, thereby increasing scope and market of the industry!
Bang Bang without Haider as competition could have easily earned 85-90 crores in first weekend…
HNY drops after first day business, PK increases after first day business. PK rocks…

Lolz dhoom3 , PK both are non holyday releases , where dhoom3 was 30+ due to dhoom brand PK is just 24 cr and ic we minus Raju hirani name then PK would be in Talaash rang 14 to 18cr
