Dishoom has recorded the 6th highest first weekend collections of 2016, ahead of films like Udta Punjab, Kapoor and Sons, Ki and Ka. The Varun Dhawan – John Abraham – Jacqueline Fernandez starrer was behind Housefull 3, FAN, Airlift and Baaghi.
Dishoom would have probably crossed the 40 crore mark and made it to Top 5, if business was not affected by rains in most parts of the country throughout the weekend.
The collections of Sultan is in a different league altogether and incomparable with any other film released this year.
