Tanu Weds Manu Returns has shown incredible growth in business on Saturday, collecting Rs 13.1 crore at the domestic box office.
The collections on Saturday is around 50% more than Friday. In comparison to other films released this year, only Piku has shown better growth (60%), but the Friday collections of that film (Rs 5.32 cr) was much lower than Tanu Weds Manu Returns (Rs 8.75 cr).
While Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do is being touted as the ‘Post-IPL’ release of 2015, it will be Tanu Weds Manu Returns that will take advantage of the first two weeks after the ongoing season of the Indian Premiere League. One of the reasons why collections jumped yesterday, was because it was the first Saturday in the last two months when there was no IPL match.
The film is set to collect around 35 crore in its first weekend and if it holds well during the weekdays, it could be the first 100 crore grosser of the year!

May month bring happiness to Bollywood.From gabbar to piku and now TWMR roaring at box office.But Piku was most surprising with the success it got.TWMR exceed expectation with reviews and collection. Gabbar did the business which was expected from it.
I had seen only Gabbar and it was rocking movie.Akshay was in full form and he didn’t bring down the iconic Gabbar character.I would rate it 3.5/5.
Mean while pk is roaring at China boxoffice with 3.5 million collection from 2 days.On the roll of biggest overseas grosser surpassing 31.75 million $ of dhoom 3.Aamir rocks as usual.
