Aanand L Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has created history at the domestic box office, becoming the first film without a major male star to gross more than Rs 150 crore. Without the box office might of a Khan, Kapoor or Roshan, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has become the 14th highest grosser of all time.
There is also a huge milestone coming up for the film. It has grossed Rs 246 crore worldwide, the contribution from the overseas markets is around Rs 44.5 crore. It should eventually go on to be only the 12th 250 crore plus worldwide grosser.
For a film made on a budget of just Rs 32 crore, these are record-breaking numbers. All others film in the ‘200 crore worldwide’ club had a landing cost of more than Rs 50 crore.

What’s wrong in believing K3 and Bang Bang collections? What I told, I told with logic. SR and Bang Bang had similar Wom. Bang Bang released on more screens and had more open weeks and bigger stars. Hence it did better. Ofcourse, with a better wom similar to CE and K3 , Bang Bang would have done around 200-210 crores. Better is the WOM, bigger will be the collection. YOU UNDERESTIMATE HRITHIK. and thatz the reason why you cann’t believe Bang Bang collection.
About K3, When did I say that K3 would have come closed to D3 with more open weeks. Ofcourse, without ramleela, it would have done around 7-10 crores more to reach at a figure of around 251-255 crores. It’s common sense.
K3 didn’t have a factor to underperform at bo. A much awaited,much hyped, high franchise film without any negative factor is doing 15 crores in weekend days. Only fools will believe it. people are believing 36 crores of D3 on non holiday! But they have problems with believing 25 crores of k3(ofcourse, k3 did only 25 crores due to Pre-diwali factor. Otherwise it would have done around more).

@sky: as for the estimates by indicine, they don’t have their own source. They follow some trades and bring their estimates. Like they said, only a producer knows how much collection his film has collected. K3 released on a broad no.s of screens for the 1st time which is why many manyn’t have estimated properly. And remember, during the release of k3, nearly 95% of sites and trade analysts reported the 25 crores opening. But with flow of time and negativity around k3, some started changing it.
And what about the Statements of Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan? The negativity spread so much that they could know about it and had to clarify about it.

I place Krrish 3 and Bang Bang ahead of HNY in a list. Now you have to decide what is that list about: best bolly films ever? Worst bolly films ever? Or factly, best manipulator film ever? K3-68cr, BangB-43cr, HNY-26cr, Kick-20cr, CE-18cr. This is the list of top 5. No Aamir Khan starrer in the top 20 and I’m proud of that.

For time saving just search k3 weekend report on Bollywood business, komal nahta reported 60-61cr weekend collection, while boi claimed 54cr & official 72cr. Yes I will believe if boi states k3 collected just 100 cr as that time the official won’t me more than 140cr. That’s it.
I don’t have anything against hrithik but yes I am not believing k3 & bang-2 figure. I always use boi figures for all actor movies whether its Aamir,salman or any one. Because these difference game started after 2010, otherwise BOI figures was always considered trustworthy, even Indicine have said that BOI figures are most accurate. That’s it.
