Aanand L Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has created history at the domestic box office, becoming the first film without a major male star to gross more than Rs 150 crore. Without the box office might of a Khan, Kapoor or Roshan, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has become the 14th highest grosser of all time.
There is also a huge milestone coming up for the film. It has grossed Rs 246 crore worldwide, the contribution from the overseas markets is around Rs 44.5 crore. It should eventually go on to be only the 12th 250 crore plus worldwide grosser.
For a film made on a budget of just Rs 32 crore, these are record-breaking numbers. All others film in the ‘200 crore worldwide’ club had a landing cost of more than Rs 50 crore.

Exactly! Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya.. And Krrish are not just super successful films, but are highest grossers of their respective years. Then why so many retards are doubting about K3 as if Hrithik has never seen a success and desperately tried hard to manipulate the figure to make it look big!
I am not saying that a Director-Actor duo cann’t fail. But when a film under-performs/fails, there should be some reasons.! In case of K3, there were no such reasons. Krrish 3 had many positive factors to do huge!
1. A hugely popular franchise (2nd most popular after Dhoom)
2. A diwali release
3. The WOM was positive! If a film carries bad WOM, then there can never be a Huge jump in its collection. For example, In K3’s case, Sunday figure was 15 crores and Monday was 31 crores(according to BOI) which shows that the film had carried good WOM.
4. The reviews were Fairly good(if not OUTSTANDING, atleast better than CE,KICK and even Dhoom 3)
5. Each and every trade pandit has already considered it as one of the most awaited film of 2013.
6. The trailer had created Huge Hype.
7. And it was a Paisa vasool Masala entertainer which can be seen by Kids as well. So it didn’t have Limitated mass appeal.

krissh-3 had a huge craze at the time of released, i feel that there might be difference of 10-20 crore but there is a huge gap of 60 crore. So for this i want believe boi as how can a film with such a huge craze can only earn 18 crore on the first day according to boi. Its buzz was almost similar to ra-one and ett but much above dhoom-3. For bang bang i feel so because the teaser was fantastic but the trailer was not up to exceptation. From my think of view krissh-3 have earn above 200 crore and boi is giving the wrong figure for this movie. I dont no about the dubbed collection of this movie in the south India. I have a hufe respect for two actor of these industries that is legend aamir khan and sir hrithik roshan for the movie they do for their fans and i want all hrithik and aamir fan to not take any comment seriously as i feel that they are jelious of these actor for doing a well content movie. If 2 films belonging to the same franchise in hollywood ie Avengers where the sequel collects less than the first movie then whats the reason for this lower collections? Well it must be something to do with audiences loving the first part way more than the second part. Similarly Jadoo 3 was not loved by audiences barring kindergarteners as much as audiences of all ages who loved Dhoom 3 way more. This example was to prove that films of an equal franchise or same franchise will never collect the same as its predecessor if audiences reject the film like Ted 2 recently which doesnt have the same novelty factor as Ted or new Terminator film that looks old n dated in terms of story.
