Supreme Court reserves order on Salman, unlikely to get British Visa

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of India reserved its order on the Rajasthan government’s appeal challenging a state high court order staying the conviction of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan so that he could travel to Britain for a film engagement.

An apex court bench of Justice S.J. Mukhopadhyay and Justice A.K. Goel reserved its order, saying that Salman Khan’s conviction could not be stayed merely because it comes in the way of his getting a British visa.

Salman Khan along with Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Neelam, Soha Ali Khan and others were accused of hunting the protected blackbuck in Rajasthan while they were shooting for the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.

Salman Khan was convicted in 2006 by the trial court and the high court stayed his conviction last year.

  • Haha this in insane why bring SRK in this mix? Wankhede stadium and Sirish Kunder story have nothing to with courts and crime. Salman should go under trial and should be punished if found guilty, and should be respectfully released if not found guilty but just because he is a celeb or runs Being Human doesn’t mean he can get away with his charges.

  • @Anand : I agree with you. The only way for Srk to give highest grosser of the year is either Aamir or Salman out of the race !!!!!!! They must be praying n desperate to see Salman in jail.
