Shahrukh Khan, who was in Chennai last weekend for the VijayTV Awards, was offered a remake of a very successful south film by Ghajini director A.R. Murugadoss.
While SRK was keen on working with Murugadoss, he was against the idea of remakes and asked the director to write a original script.
Times Of India quoted the star as saying “When my friend Murugadoss tells me that there’s this hit film he’s made and he wants to remake it with me, I say, ‘Why don’t you write one for me? The worse that can happen is that it’ll go wrong. But that’s OK; we’d have tried something original’
A source close to the actor tells us “It’s been hard for filmmakers to convince Shahrukh to sign a remake. He has received several offers from top directors like A R Murugadoss and Prabhu Deva, but SRK is against the idea of remaking a successful south film. He believes there is no creative satisfaction from scene-to-scene remakes. If there is a original script, he is more than willing to consider their offer.”

@soroop : Tell me one movie of srk where he wore a police uniform n it suited him? Lol srk does not have a personality to do a Dabangg or Ghajini. FYI, both Aamir n Salman have done romantic, action, Masala n hardcore action movies whereas srk never did an out an out action movie.

@soroop Aamir doesnt hate his peers they bloody are jealous of him..He has more friends in industry and some of them are the biggest names in the industry like Salman, Raju hirani , Aditya Chopra , Gowariker etc so if he was jealous i dont think these directors or actors would have directed or associated themselves with him..And strength of Aamir is that he doesnt over act like others and tries to be different all the time and most of the time it works..he hasnt stopped other actors from selecting great scripts and His fan following is unmatched like Salman as box office figures sgow that Aamir is at par with the best that is Salman khan ..Aamir is BMW of Indian cinema its a joy to watch him act on screen

@hrithik all audience is not illiterate like you. There is entertain in bollywood. But this entertainment not only for action film. If entertainment only for action film than than barfi, JTHJ, vicky donor will not be hitted and gain so many filmfair awards. Illiterate audience like you only understand action but not anything.

@hrithik. Sharukh has carried Army uniform with class and he looked dashing in it but salman looked normal in police uniform. Aamir did only 1 masala action film i.e Gajini but sharukh did lot of masala action films eg: Baazigar, koyla, karan arjun, raam jane, Main hoon nah etc but off late he didn’t do anything i.e why u aren’t aware.

hahahhahaa srk these works remind me a phrase of Hindi “sau chuhe khakar billi (in this case Billa) hazz ko chali(la)” a person who worked in three official remake and two of them was Bollywood classic and except srk fans every body agree both with srk become dud specially Don and devdas was better than Don but it was also not great as it would be and then we noticed Billu which srk fans not agree that its was srk movies according to his presence but don’t know how its a special appearance when you have 3 popular songs in the movie and other 10-15 min roles too. and many movies of him is inspired and many of the scene copied from other movies too which mentioned already in this comment section at that time he not come and said i will not do remake and don’t want scene copied from movies first you spoil two classic Devdas and don and it was only hype that both movies gain hit status at the Box office and that was also srk prime time too. so if Salman,Ajay,Akshay etc are constantly doing remakes than what srk want to clear by his comments whatever you say srk the fact is that you r declining at box office whether you & r your fans except or not, so don’t try to be smart just focus on good work which your r not doing since RBNDJ.
@suroop you forget to mentions one thins that Salman as one who as ability to make craps to blockbuster and also a good film to blockbuster and Salman’s recent remakes are blockbuster so at least he maintains the box office result of remake same and sometime he raises the level of those south remakes as BO performance wise but srk is one who having ability to made good movie like Swades (Flop) & MNIK (underperformed hit) and made classic movies remake likes Devdas and Don to lower level results & ur so called global star is unable to make his movies superhits or blockbusters right now even he promoted his movies like that only he is doing movies others r doing timepass.

1. at Delhi Belly promotions he promoted movies to tv channels by cleary saying that movie is full of abuses dialogues and adult content so if you interested than come to theater else remain on your house, others don’t have guts like that great example is SAW a sequal of successful movie full of foul language and don’t have gut to prescibed at promotion that it’s not for female and family audience such cheap standard people like Sanjay Gupta & Ekta Kapoor
2. dhobi ghat time he promoted movie that its a movie for high class niche audience so if you look for entertainment so not come to theatre.
3 Talaash he not promoted movie hugely as its wasn’t a universal movie an he cleary admit that too.
4. for Ghajini & 3I promotions he not left any stone unturned as these was universal commercial great movies and he promoted them hugely as both r good movies.
@salman haters his top 3 movies ETT,Dabangg & Dabangg2 all r not remakes these were original movies and havin higher collection than his south remakes so he is not been star from south remakes he is born star since his 1st movie as lead actor MPK and the phase of 2001-2008 he was not consistent hit movies but always was in top 3 actor of current times as popularity wise.

The man is a greedy businessman and as greed dictates- why pay for something when you can get it for free with afew tweaks here and there…! ;-)

May be srk was more concentrating on how to look more dashing whereas Salman was carried it with pride and sacrificed his life in the movie. Wait for Mental you will see Salman in Army uniform (for couple of shots) again !!! About Masala Genre, when srk did something like Dabnagg or Ghajini? Yes he did all those movies. FYI, I have been watching movies since QSQT days and not a kid like you to not to be aware. If you understand what Dabangg or Ghajini then you will never say like that.
