There are reports that Ajay Devgn has planned the sequel of his 2012 hit, Son Of Sardar, during the festive weekend of Diwali in 2017.
Released in November 2012, Son Of Sardaar clashed with Shahrukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan during Diwali. The film went on to do business in excess of Rs 100 crore and held its own against the might of Yash Raj Films, Shahrukh, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

With the Khans dominating the festive weekends of Eid, Diwali and Christmas, it will be interesting to see if Ajay’s Son Of Sardar 2 gets a solo release this time around.
Also, back in 2012, Devgn had accused Yash Raj Films for pre-booking single-screen theatres for ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, when they released Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger. Will Ajay be more careful this time around?

@IamAkn we all know which Jthj was a cheap movie and Jai ho grossed more than rnbdj and it is a hit.By the which 7 fims your talking about only remember two Ra.one and Hny remember Ce didnt grossed more than Ek tha tiger SRK manipulated figures and we all know that even Indicine has claimed it many a times.

@ iamAKN and javed, Son of sardar was released with less screens than jthj and still did business in excess of 100 crores, as far as clashes are concerned SRK has been shown his place numerous times by Sunny Deol, in fact sunny paji had the guts to release his films with other khans be it aamir and salman and on each time he bulldozed their movies be it Asoka, lagaan etc. OUATIMD also gave tough competition to chennai express and opened to almost 100% occupancy, i admit it was not good movie, however, still it collected 75 crores. As far as acting is concerned ajay is miles ahead of SRK. I liked SRK when he did movies like baazigar, darr, anjaam, ddlj, kkhh, even don was also good, however off late he has done all the craps be it raone, chennai express, HNY. I hope that with fan and raees he strikes with bang and be the SRK which he used to be.
