Singh Is Bling has recorded the 16th highest weekend of all time. The film has collected Rs 54.44 crore in its first weekend at the box office, beating Akshay Kumar’s previous highest weekend total set by Brothers during the Independence Day weekend.

Thru only pretended to support aamir when he was holding top 2 grossers in India and top 3 in overseas and everyone knows that Salman was nowhere in overseas before BB. They dont even know that their non actor is the most flops giving actor in Bollywood and he has record number of flops and disasters and way ahead of aamir in terms of flops and failures. Why would producers inflate figures don’t they have to pay income tax on their earnings and everybody knows that IT would go by what they report as actual figures could be dicey.

@sunny chechi, the BOI has their sources and they work on estimation as they are compiling data with accurate figure as per their sources, that’s the reason you found figure like 10.25,10.5,10.75 etc earlier. But as the figures compiling they give their accurate figures with territorial breakdown which they compiled after 1 week. I am not supporting BOI because of Aamir khan, only because since I have developed interest in movie business, there was only BOI as authentic side, I am not saying that their figures are 100% correct but they are very near with actual as compare to officials. At the time d3 released boi early estimation was 30cr on first day behind ett & CE, but as there data compiled they know d3 were biggest opener so far, at hny time their first day estimation was 40.2cr all version with 38.5cr Hindi, but as the data came there figures were 36.5 Hindi, 37.5 all India. Similarly for CE their first day was 29.25cr, later when actual data came it was 30.48cr. It happened with every one, for example bang-2 collected 181cr as per official figure despite being rejected from audience and critics, when films were struggling to cross 150cr, bang-2 being mediocre collected 180cr that too with clash. And many time I noticed that Indicine estimation were always near to boi figures rather than official,though they puts officials only which are generally higher than trade to save from fan bashing.
Regarding Aamir, boi has made Aamir’s super hit/hit films under above avg/semi hit category of 90’s, while they were hits. Movies like Rangeela,Ishq,Ghulam,Sarfarosh were hits but boi underreported, similarly Talaash was a clean hit but they put into semi hit category, but movies like Ra1,jthj which has comparatively biggers cost were clean hits despite being not much collection. They had their share of flaws but still they are better than the rest for me. Cheers.
Singh Is Bling has had a heavy fall on Monday. The weekend trend was not good with very limited growth on Sunday but there there was a chance that maybe North India may save it as that was holding collections at good levels but it was not to be. East Punjab has crashed from 2.65 crore nett on day one 75 lakhs nett apprx. This is the best performing circuit.
The drop is even bigger in Mumbai with collections struggling to hit even 1.50 crore nett. The all India collections will come in the 5 crore nett range which is pretty much what Brothers did on its first Monday.
Talvar is a surprise success with collections set to come in at around 1.75 crore nett which is very strong and just 30% down from its first day which was a national holiday, if we take out the holiday factor out on day one it has collections which are similar and cound even be more than its actual first day value. Now its just about holding up in a similar range for next couple of days and the film will have a very good run for the next few weeks.
