When it was announced that Shraddha Kapoor has signed the sequel of the 2008 film ‘Rock On’, it was assumed that she would play Farhan Akhtar’s love interest in the film.
However, a source close to the film has confirmed that Shraddha will be the band’s new member and that she will only be seen singing with Farhan.
“It’s not a love story between Farhan and Shraddha at all. She’s just the band’s newest member who sings along with Farhan. That’s it.”
Prachi Desai will continue to play the role of Farhan’s wife, but she won’t have a lot of screen time in film.
“Shraddha’s role is more pivotal than Prachi’s. The film will be more about the rock band and will feature more members, including these two.” the source added.
Shot in Shillong (‘Rock capital of India’), ‘Rock On 2’ goes on floors this month.
