Reacting strongly to media reports that Rajinikanth may star in a biopic on Tipu Sultan, Hindu Munani leader Rama Gopalan has urged the superstar to desist from doing so.
According to Gopalan, Tipu was ‘anti-Tamil’ and hence no Tamil actors including Rajinikanth should star in the film.
Bengaluru-based entrepreneur-producer Ashok Kheny reportedly wants to make a biopic of Tipu Sultan with the 64-year-old southern superstar.
In his statement, Gopalan said that the film will be an attempt to portray Tipu Sultan as a freedom fighter.

tippu sultan is the greatest ruler india ever had he fought against british bravely and won singlehandedly 1784. he is the real tiger and first freedom fighter of india.some morons are jealous of his success thats all.

When I was 12 years on National TV there is serial of Tipu Sultan I like the serial very much , if film don’t want release in tamil then don’t release simple funda but u release film in other state simple . But a lot if people are eager to watch this film .

Tiger Tipu Sultan was one of the greatest Freedom fighter who single handedly terrorized British India Company. Even English have more respect towards Tipu Sultan Shaheed than these communal & cheap politicians !!!!!!! His remains (buried) near Bangalore (100 kms) in Srirangapatnam n even English n European people visit his grave !!!!!!!
