In what is a first for a Bollywood celebrity at the iconic Madame Tussauds in London, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wax statue was re-dressed as Gaurav Chanana – the character he plays in his upcoming film ‘FAN’.
The most recognised Indian actor in the world, is currently in the United Kingdom to promote his film.
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, FAN is expected to take the global box office by storm, as analysts have predicted that the film will cross the $20 million mark.
The highest overseas grosser so far this year is $7 million total of ‘Kapoor & Sons’, which could be surpassed by FAN in its first weekend itself.

Rishikesh, Fan being a Shahrukh film is one of the biggest releases of the year. But except for the dialogue promos and teasers what else marketing of Fan have u seen here at Indicine except for todays articles. it is a fact that SRK has been promoting it at different events and YRF continuously kept releasing different promotional videos but majority of those were not posted here till today. Go and check other famous websites and u will see different interviews and promotional events being published there on a daily basis and indicine didnt consider them important enough to be shared here. What excessive promotions of Fan are u talking about or maybe u r another salman fan creating negativity here

But u dont need to be jealous as ur star is also well recognised in India too and he is the most famous and recognized bollywood star among criminal cases lawyers and judges.
Don’t understand why they adulterated his initial statue. They should have preserved that one. Normally such kind of statue the very 1st day it’s launched it should show the current image of that actor. I don’t have any objection Srk fans just felt such stutue should be made for a particular celebrity not a character of his viz a viz that of Gaurav a Fan. May be I don’t know the reason behind this refabricated statue of his but I think such statue should have direct link with the current face of that actor not that of a character. SRK is highly famous in the UK – I live in uk and here the Asian people will watch an srk movie whether it’s good or bad because he’s created that image of himself – MNIK still remains my fav – and in terms of war between salman Khan and Srk are close freinds – I like some of salmans movies like I loved BB and ETT was decent too but here people don’t like all the fighting etc – aamir is amazing in terms of content 3 idiots , Pk- he’s also well known – so I think all 3 khans are lined up to make records with salman probably doing the best in India this year or aamir of sultan gets solo release – but I hope raees sticks on eid as it looks more content driven than sultan as my fav Khan is srk due to his humbleness and acting when he”s on his game – fan looks brilliant with Oscar winning artists included were all expecting it to compete well with jungle book which also look amazing .
I hope srk and aamir Khan star in one movie together – as it would be a sheer balance of acting skills and passionate hardworking people – if possible salman too as he brings his own flavours too the move etc his style but before BB I was getting sick of all the action movies but I think he’s turning to content cinema no as that’s what’s it’s all about .
My predictions for fan :
India – if theirs good content and it’s loved like BB or PK then 25cr opening day maybe one 2 CR higher or lower 23-27
Saturday will peak if movies loved – I expect about 30-32 CR
Sunday I expect – 36-38 CR with it crossing 100 CR in 3 days if movie is at same content level as BB or srk in past like MNIK which was loved in England where I live
Monday – Friday – if it sustaines at about 10-12 CR a day for 5 days – 70 CR and then another huge second weekend which could take its life time collection to about 210-220 CR
So fan has all possibility of it being SRK”s highest grosser if the content is there – from what I think the content is strong in the movie as its a niche film and if srk is promoting too much he’s confident in his product . I believe if dilwale can smash it overseas it shows what srk is over the world – I expect fan to be his highest grosser overseas if content is there
I believe they’ve spent about 100cr on the movie so collections of 200+ CR is making it a potential ATBB after you consider the tv rights but am sure indicine can make us an article on how much it needs to collect etc .
On the other hand, their slight chance that the movie may not click with the audience or content may be same old or weak – in that case i still expect it to be SRk highest overseas collection but it’ll do about 140cr if that’s the case lifetime
All in all – being a srk fan I’m watching this movie just for him and obviously all the hard works he”s done with make up needs to be appreciated etc – so I’m expecting it to be a good cinematic experience – I don’t care about how much it collects as believe me people worldwide overseas don’t care as much – we just want good cinema like MNIK, BB, Lagan , Kal Ho na Ho , Pk , 3 idiots , ghajini , fanaa , wanted , veer Zara ,
So I want everyone to appreciate good cinema – rather than box office collections as they matter more to the producers if the word of mouth is good srk will rock it anways
