Two relatively small films will be competing against Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year during Diwali 2014. One from the director of Aamir Khan’s ‘Mangal Pandey: The Rising’ and the other from the director of films like ‘Masti’ and ‘Dhamaal’ series of films.
While Indra Kumar’s Super Nani marks the comeback of the evergreen Rekha, Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya will feature the supremely talented Randeep Hooda.

Rang Rasiya: Rang Rasiya is a drama film based on the life of the 19th-century Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma. The film is directed Ketan Mehta, produced by Deepa Sahi and Anand Mahendroo. It stars Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen and Triptha Parashar in lead roles. The film was shot way back in 2007 and released in November 2008 at the London Film Festival. Release Date: 23rd October
Super Nani: Touted as Rekha’s much-awaited comeback to commercial mainstream films, Super Nani also stars Sharman Joshi, Shweta Kumar, Anupam Kher and Randhir Kapoor. The light-hearted entertainer gives a strong message to women that their power lies within themselves. Rekha plays the role of Bharti Bhatia and Sharman essays the part of her grandson in the movie. Release Date: 24th October

I have received a detailed report on the revealation of the whole story of Super Nani…
Actually, the then Rohit Mehra has an elder sister named Priya unrevealed in the story of Jaadu One. Rohit’s father Dr. Sanjay Mehra dropped her at school. On their way back (Dr. Mehra and his wife, Sonia Mehra, now Super Nani) from the work, they forgot to pick their daughter up after school in frustration of the abuses by his colleague scientists.
On the way, they met with an accident. So, Dr. Mehra died as u all know. Sadly, Sonia Mehra too lost her past memory as she was badly affected by the uninvited jaadoooo. So, she lost her daughter.
So, story continues…. Rohit Mehra Yaani Jaadoo 1 left the mountainous village with Krishh Mehra yaani Jaadoo2.
Left alone, she (Sonia Mehra, Daadi) was feelinf bored. She did Ding Ding Ding…Dong Dong Dong…Ding Ding with her hubby’s computer as you said. The original Jaadoo Boy appeared. So, she asked for some Jaadoo so that she can do some adventures in the mountain jungles like Krishh. The Jaadoo Boy gave some Jaadoo. She set off the adventures where she happened to meet her lost daughter called Priya (now married abd has a son, Sharman Joshi, Raju).
They were liking each other on their first sight because of the blood relationship. But they actually came to know Sonia and Priya are real mother and daughter through the adopted parents of Priya, who happened to be ex-colleagues of Dr. Sanjay Mehra as well.
So, Krishh and Raju are cousins.
Now, JC, you can continue releasing your movie in Diwali I.e on 24th Oct 2014. You can leave the Anurag Kashyap’s boat. Remember, Jaadoo Hai Toh Kya Darna, Jaadoo Naa Milega Dobara!

indian audience suffers from deficiency of taste buds, that is why craps like chennai express, kick, singham returns and many more like these become blockbusters, i hope that haider manages to activate their taste buds and they appreciate quality films, this is the reason indian movies do not have global appeal, movies like lunch box, english vinglish were flop in india, however they were appreciated all over the world?. Same thing is going to happen with Happy new year, inspite of it being a crap, what can you expect from farah khan, it will be super hit. I hope Rangrasya gives a tough competition to hny because as far as content is concerned it will be light years ahead of HNY.
