Sayali Bhagat, ex-Miss India and the leading lady of Train, was caught in the subsequent chaos after the bomb blast in Hyderabad where she had gone to shoot.
Sayali Bhagat had a harrowing experience in Hyderabad where she had gone to shoot pictures for a website. The sudden bomb blast in the city threw life out of gear there and Sayali was caught in the ensuing chaos. Sayali was in a city mall doing last-minute shopping when she heard that there was bomb blast in Hyderabad. There was utter chaos when the news of the blast spread like wildfire.
Sayali spoke to us from Hyderabad. She said, “When the news of the bomb blast started trickling in, there was panic and I could see people running helter skelter and looking for emergency exits, some of them were seen with fire extinguishers. The cellphone networks were completely jammed. It was scary and there was major chaos in the city. The streets were completely deserted soon after.”
Recounting the experience Sayali said, “I do not get scared normally but looking at the chaos, I was worried. I was also concerned that my family and friends would be frantically calling me, as I was alone here. I left the mall immediately, but got stuck in a traffic jam. It took me almost two hours to reach the hotel which was just 15 minutes away. I started getting calls from my family, friends, relatives and the unit members of Train. Even my shoot was cancelled as no one could reach the sets. It was very difficult to get tickets for flights back too.”
