Sanjay Dutt falls ill with fear of verdict

Sanjay Dutt has spent many sleepless nights in the past few days worrying about the judgement of his case which has led to ill health. It seems he cancelled his shootings and also skipped the courts proceeding due to sickness.

Sanjay Dutt seems to be feeling the heat as judgment day nears. The actor who is embroiled in a 13-year-long legal battle cancelled all his shooting schedules and failed to attend court as he fell ill yesterday. Dutt cancelled the shooting of Sanjay Gadhvi’s film Kidnap for two consecutive days, since he has been running high fever. He could not even attend his court proceedings yesterday.

Dutt says, “I am not well and have very high fever. The doctor had come home and prescribed some medicines which I have taken. But the fever is still quite high and refuses to go down. I am just resting at home. I have cancelled the shoot of Sanjay Gadhvi’s film Kidnap.”

The TADA court has finally started pronouncing the sentences to the 1993 blast accused. Dutt was supposed to attend the hearing yesterday but his lawyer Farhana Shah gave an application in the court stating that Dutt was unwell and couldn’t attend the hearing due to fever, an upset stomach and vomitting.

However, our sources say that the actor has been spending sleepless nights in fear of his verdict, which is expected to be handed out any time now. Dutt is accused number 117 and he has been losing sleep more and more as his judgment day neared.

Dutt’s story so far
Sanjay Dutt was first arrested in connection with the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case for the possession of illegal weapons. Later, he was released on bail after serving 16 months in jail. Last November, the TADA court had found Sanjay Dutt guilty under the Arms Act and convicted him. However, he was declared free from the stringent TADA act. Dutt has moved an application seeking benefit under Probation of Offenders Act. The prosecution on Friday gave the name and the addresses of the officers who would be preparing the report on Dutt’s character. If the court accepts Dutt’s application, he will not have to undergo imprisonment.
