The undisputed box office ‘king’, is equally popular on social networking websites too and this has helped him win a special honour at this year’s Zee Cine Awards (Link: Full list of winners).
Social media experts Asterii Analytics were hired by Zee to research and find out the superstar who command the biggest fan following on popular social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Youtube.
The results were as follows
- Salman Khan Facebook fans – 7,408,859 (currently 7,523,741)
- Salman Khan Twitter followers – 3,188,226 (currently 3,271,642)
- Salman Khan related Youtube videos – 60,567
- Twitter Fan clubs – 577,919
- Facebook fan clubs – 757,057
- Google+ – 2,774
“We used sophisticated web analysis tools to scan millions of pages on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Blogs and online forums to quantify the total volume of buzz and conversations on our cine stars. A specially designed four phase methodology was used. And the winner was Salman Khan with a consistently high score on each of the mediums that was scanned” said a source from Asterii Analytics.
The other popular stars after Salman were Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
The Zee Cine Awards 2013 will be aired on Zee TV on January 20th 2013.

The veteran photographer was found roaming the streets in a semi-naked state by actor Mink Brar while daughter Antara Mali remains totally clueless
Antara Mali remained oblivious in her South Mumbai pad that her father, the veteran photographer Jagdish Mali who has worked with most of the superstars of B-town, was found roaming the streets of Versova in a disheveled state.
The photographer who has worked with some of the biggest stars of the industry, the most prominent one being Rekha, was dressed in a t-shirt and nothing else on Monday afternoon, and seemed lost. Actor and Bigg Boss 6 contestant Mink Brar who has worked with Mali recognised him as she was passing by, and rushed to his aid, giving him shorts to cover up, and some food. Mali however, allegedly suffering from a chronic mental ailment could not recognise anyone, nor could he comprehend what Mink was saying.
When the actor tried to contact Antara, she was told that Antara was busy with her newborn baby. Finally, Mink approached actor Salman Khan who immediately sent over a car and four men who escorted Mali to his apartment where he stays with his helper.
Mali, according to a senior photographer, was suffering from health problems recently and also had a heart attack. He was battling depression along with the problems of alcohol addiction, and had turned into a recluse, way different from his usual flamboyant self.
Well, what can we say? At times, the ways of the glamorous industry are brutal. Yet there are people who are always forthcoming like Mink and Salman Khan. We hope that Mr Mali recovers soon and gets the necessary care he requires.

As per current update, salman khan has also made his strong presence at ghanta awards.His movie dabangg 2 has won 4 awards including salman as worst actor, arbaaz as worst director, sonakshi as worst actress and dabangg 2 as worst sequal.Congrats sallu bhai.U again proved it.

First off Salman was not the driver- he had a chauffeur. He has apologised.
Secondly, Salman was accompanied by the entire cast of Hum Saath Saath Hain on the animal shooting/hunting incident.
Thirdly- Aish used Salman to get a firm grip on the bollywood ladder and later on she used and completely destroyed Vivek by making that troll lie for her on national TV just so that she could leave Salman and make Salman focus his attentions on Vivek. She manipulated the whole thing.
Last point is What proof does a person like you have to say publicly that Salman is a domestic abuser eh? You have nothing thats what. We bhai fans have the words of Indias biggest Heroine Katrina Kaif to say how much Salman adored her and never let her feel threatended when they were together. Salmans former ex also are on good terms with him. Just that scheming cow Aish who I hope now is happy with her second class life with a B grade actor at best, Abhishek.
