Breaking news: Bollywood superstar has been granted 2-days interim bail at the Bombay High Court on Wednesday.
Noted Supreme Court lawyer Harish Salve, who was called on very short notice, challenged the sessions court order of a five year sentence.
He said “We have received only operative part of the order. You cannot put someone in jail without a proper court order,” Salve argued.
The Bombay High Court has granted bail till May 8, which also means Salman will be allowed to go home and spend time with his family.

You let a man go free for a crime for 13 years.. if this court have all these proofs and everything then why didnt they put salman in jail in 2002. Ok its the weak system and it was not proved that time and blah blah blah.. then after 13 years that man is doing so much for this contry’s poor people and helping them in so many ways and have an NGO working all the time, then u come and put the man in jail just to prove that law is for all and everyone is equal infront of judge. people need to understand it’s a sessions court verdict.. they always go overboard with their verdict.. another biggest loophole in the case is the culpable homicide charges.. u need to have the intention to kill in culpable homicide.. did salman have the intention to kill somebody? none at all.. even if salman is guilty he would not get more than 1 year term in the higher courts.. though he would have to pay huge compensation money.. another thing is that it’s high time sleeping on roads be made illegal just like drunk n driving.. there are always two sides of the coin.. salman khan is guilty, punish him, no problems at all.. but 5 years??? it’s way too harsh.. the courts need to be logical in their decision making.. how would salman going to jail for 5 years for the victim’s family make a difference.. big compensation to the victim’s family would be both logical n fair to both salman n the victim’s family.. u may talk about justice, the legal system but at the end of the day it was just an unfortunate accident n not a murder.. both the victim n salman deserve better.. i am sure better sense will prevail.. people talk about salman being a big celebrity thus he had an advantage.. wrong assumption.. there are more than 2 lakh hit n run cases registered in india every year but none see the light of the day n bites the dust n nothing happens.. salman paid the price for being salman khan.. n the law has no right to make an example out of salman khan.. be fair to salman khan
Why every1 saying it was a crime? I guess its called accident and u know what, in a day how many such accidents happens in india ,u cant even count easily and how many died everyday ,
but in such accidents only few get jailed who doesnt have money for fines,rest are freed by taking fines and there driving license are canceled, and u r searching justice here where the mistake was from both side though was more from salman side . My advice is If some1 doesnt believe in indian judiciary then no one has force u too live in india ,u can go to another world .
I have nothing to say since final judgement announced but the whole india will feel that later .a superstar like Salmankhan doesn’t deserve this sentence. this judge he really don’t know his real work,very soon the trust will reveal itself.

deeply saddened by the verdict. it does not do justice to anybody. 5 year jail term for a god damn accident! come on!!! even in sanjeev nanda case where 6 people died he was convicted for 2 years by the supreme court. this is weird. undoubtedly salman has been targeted big time. but still a long way to go. I don’t see this verdict standing in higher courts. highly and absolutely improbable. indian law can certainly do better than this.

@hrithik,about that incident,nanda already sentenced to jail and got punishment unlike sallu who prolonged thE case’s date over 13 year.that’s made me even more angry.also at that time there was no such article published about nanda that I could have even comment against him.in comparison with sallu he is far bigger criminal than sallu,now you’re happy?I will comment against sallu until unless he’ll get a long term imprisonment and THE VICTIM AND HIS POOR FAMILY will get THE JUSTICE.
