The film is a sequel to the 2011 hit Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. Talking about the film at a press conference, acclaimed director Tigmanshu Dhulia said “We had left the germ of the sequel in the previous film itself. It is not a franchise and we are taking the story ahead”
