Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming gangster drama film ‘Kabali’ will hit theatres on July 1st 2016, which falls in the Pre-Eid period.
The decision to release the film before Eid was taken to avoid any clash against Salman Khan’s keenly-awaited film Sultan, which releases in theatres on July 6.
“The film was earlier slated to release in June. It has been now pushed to July 1. The makers had also planned to release on July 7 but have advanced the release to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’” a source confirmed.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith, ‘Kabali’ is the story of the rise of a gangster from rags-to-riches. The film also stars Radhika Apte, Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Dhansikaa and Ritwika.

Yes Salman do remakes of movies but he is much better than Srk because he buys the rights of the movie not like Srk who shamelessly stole the script and plot from Hollywood, Kannad, Marathi and others movies.

And please don’t write off Anurag Kashyap just for one movie- Bombay Velvet, he has given at least 4-5 cult classics like Black Friday, Gangs of Wassaypur 1-2, Dev D etc as a director. Please appreciate this gem director.

Rajnikant took wise decision because his movie can earn more if he will release on other date. Salman is legend of north Rajnikant is legend of south and Srk was, is and will be remain as legend of pluto.

the only reason Raees vs Sultan clash was averted cuz of screens problem. YRF had pre-booked screens for Sultan during FAN screen booking. (almost 2000 screens) So all those people who are saying SRK darr gaya is not right if they had clashed Raees would HV got less single screens release . so they pushed release date. YRF is biggest production house so its Destribution strategy is best and Excel can’t compete with it. u need EROS or UTV to compete with YRF .. but Red chillies and Excel are nothing. All people know what happened during Dilwale vs Bajirao clash .. Bajirao had around 2900 screens and Dilwale only 2600 screens. so u need gud production house always!
