Raja Natwarlal has opened poorly at the domestic box office on Friday, a holiday in parts of the country like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and a few others. The opening was in the range of 35-40% at places where it was a holiday, while in other centres it ranged from 20-25%.
Unlike most films of Emraan Hashmi that have opened well, Raja Natwarlal didn’t have hit music to bring in the audience on its opening day. The film will now rely on word-of-mouth publicity to recover costs, but will find it difficult because the reports are mixed.
Circuits like Delhi/UP, East Punjab and West Bengal opened very poorly in the morning, but several centres have reported growth in business noon onwards.
