Ritesh Sidhwani has hinted that the much-hyped clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Salman Khan’s Sultan, could be averted. The producer said that Excel Entertainment will have a discussion with Yash Raj Films after the shooting schedule of both films are complete.
“Once both the films are done, we will sit and talk. Several films are announced but then they are moved too” Sidhwani told reporters.
Ritesh added that it’s a wait and watch game as of now, since ‘Sultan’ is yet to go on floors. He also said there is no ‘special intention’ to have a clash.
“Eid is next year and our film just has 20 days of shooting left. We’re working so that the film comes on Eid, because it is that kind of a film. Even they (Sultan) will also try for a similar plan but first let the shooting of their film begin and then we’ll see. There is no specific intention to have a clash.” he added.

That awkward moment for Salman Khan fan when they realised Fardeen Khan movie is doing better than Salman Movie! 1) Fardeen Khan’s film did more than twice of Salman ‘s film. 2) Akshay Kumar’s film did thrice of Salman Khan film . 3) Ranbir’s film did more than Salman’s film.

Anyways , Excel announced in the last week of February that Raees would be Eid release . YRF did not do that !
Lastly … nothing has been finalised yet , so don’t jump into conclusions so soon !
@Phenom : I already mentioned Salman is the one who made Eid as one of the best release date. If you dont agree with me then ask any bollywood expert or trade analyst. It is obvious that people and trade expect him to come and reign every Eid !!!!!! whether you believe it or not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pity on fools who still live in 2006. Don (2006) was a remake of one of the crime-action thriller of 70’s from Big B and it was written by Salman’s father Salim Khan along Javed Akhtar !!!!!!!!! Even in Don success Salman have some connection and a contribution from his family. Stop living in past and see the present !!!!!!!!!! The more you live in 2006 the more you will get disappointed !!!!!!!!!!!!
Whereas Jaan-e-man was from a debut director no one knew him except known as Farah Khan’s husband. The movie was widely promoted as Salman-Akki jodi due to their previous success Mujhse Shaadi karogi (2004) which was a comedy riot !!!!!!!!!!!!! SRK was on top, he came with one of the most popular Remake (sab se bada Remake Khan to Srk hi hai) of Btown. It was expected that Don will be bigger hit then Jaan-e-man !!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing which can stop Sultan to come on Eid will be its schedule. I hope Salman doesn’t give it to Srk for sake of friendship (It will be a great gesture) but still some srk fans will say Salman got scared of clash. So If the movie shoot gets completed and wrapped up within April 2016 without delays then no one can stop it to release it on Eid. It is up to Excel and Srk to release along Sultan or change the release date !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@sht likh ke le le. Weather raees and sultaan clash or not, only dangal will be highest grosser of 2016. I am betting you and giving you this written statement with open challenge. When aamir has universal release on festival, only he rules box office. Others have no chance. Raju hirani should thank Aamir for giving him his only 2 highest grossers of the year twice. Without aamir raju hirani has only 1 blockbuster and 1 superhit and no highest grosser of the year so far. But aamir without raju hirani has 3 ATBBs, 4 highest grossers of the year, 2 blockbusters and many hits and superhits. So its Samir power weather you like it or not. Next year even if raees and sultan will get solo release, the result would be same vice versa. Dangal will be highest grosser next year. Period.
@zuheeb well I just noticed that srk doesn’t have a single hit in his whole career without yrf, dharma, rohit, big heroines, all festivals, cameos of Bollywood stars, manipulations, over the top promotions in his 23 years wasted dependent career. Lol.

Baadshar Rice Smuggler is a bhojpori film about a bhojpori Dons greed for more money…!
Audiences wont want to see the latter which is a sequel to CON 2011 so Sultan will clearly win this clash before day 1/ round 1 has even ended…!
For those who are barking about Ajay, Fardeen and Ranbir movies opening bigger than Salman movies. Let me tell this one movie wonder Hirtik’s second movie Mission Kashmir opened better than Mega Cast YRF’s Mohabbatein !!!!!!!!! This is only about opening !!!!!!!! MAMK was a poor movie due to Suhai’s direction. Salman’s role in MAMK is less than SRK’s role in Billu !!!!!!!!!!!! :-p
@hrithik,I repeat RAEES will come on EID 2016.it’s may Riteish would have even think abaavert but at last CLADH will happen or there’s another way remained,sultan may not release due to some excuse that salman will come with like we couldn’t able to complete the shoot,anyways the clash is far away from now on,if DILWALE/FAN will run SUPREME,then ADI will at once will postpone,so no need to worry kiddo.

@Romance and srk is 0 without rohit papa. Fan will be disaster and dangal will easily smash PK’s records and will be highest grosser of 2016 anyway. Weather sultan clashes with Bhojpuri Rice vendor or not. No one can beat aamir khan at the box office. So shut your mouth and take the burnol.
clash should’ve happened indian audiences always wanted to see the clash of the titans…. there was a possibility for both films emerging hit…. if son of sardar and jab tak hai jaan both emerged a hit then why can’t sultan and raes… i am pretty sure audience would love to see 2 films during eid in fact it would’ve been a treat for them… damn
