There has been tremendous speculation over the release date of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. The trailer, which was cut a couple of months ago, was shown to select exhibitors too.
However, the makers do not yet have a release date and it’s not coming out with this week’s release ‘Dear Zindagi’ which features SRK in an important role.
“It’s not coming out with Dear Zindagi for sure. I read somewhere about this news and no, it’s not true at all” Shah Rukh said, rubbishing media reports of the trailer coming out this month.
The actor said, he doesn’t know the date yet, but the trailer should be out sometime in December.
“I don’t know the exact date. Hopefully, it should release sometime in December… It’s ready, edited and censored. We are just trying to formulate a plan to market it. There’s a way we want to launch it” Shah Rukh said.
There is talk within the industry that the Raees trailer is likely to be attached to the prints of Yash Raj Films’ Befikre.
Raees is scheduled to hit theatres on January 26 2017. The teaser of the film was released during Eid last year.
@ rejan even the same logic goes for chennai express. deepika badly overshadowed srk. actually srk has no contribution in chennai express. he failed to beat the opening day collection of ek the tiger despite of having higher screens and ticket prices after 1 year and salman was beating those records in previous years with bg and ett by a margin of 45-50%. after that recordless opening day whatever ce did was because of deepika’s comic character and her acting. if that character would have beeen played by acresses like katrina or kareena then ce would have been never appreciated. rohit shetty showed his intelligence by giving more importance to deepika’s character. but in hny farah gave more importance to srk and we know the result.
salman was not dependent on madhuri before hahk. his film with sooraj barjatiya mpk was an atbb , opening not known. madhuri’s no film till hahk release crossed mpk. after hahk salman and sooraj did hssh which was the highest grosser of 1999 and a blockbuster. it has the highest ever first week and 2nd highest opening weekend. mpk was also the highest grosser of 1989.
their latest film prdp currently holds the highest opening and single day. prdp was the second highest grosser of 2015 and have a very good footfall of 2.28 crore. hssh’s footfalls are 2.75 crore plus with adjusted net gross approx 285 crore. mpk should have a footfall of 4cr plus. so salman and sooraj’s track record has always been excellent, so madhuri’s staying and not staying does not matter.
and the bottom line is srk despite of being helped by madhuri, kajol, karishma, yrf, dharma, rani and all the other big factors chased hahk for 13 years. and salman has crossed srk’s fluke ce three times in three years after ce released and his last release sultan crossed it in 7 days. so even if you give maduhri the credit of hahk it does not matter because madhuri failed to help srk in crossing hahk in 13 years and finaly with deepika srk’s oso chased hahk successfuly.

@nn then what happened after ce. why his every film crashes on monday. has he forgotten acting after ce, or those films are carried on chunky pandey’s shoulder. you can read any review of ce and everywhere it is said deepika was the soul of ce. the credit for the opening of the film which was below ett despite of hiked prices goes to srk, but whatever ce achieved after that was due to deepika.
and salman is not a one film wonder like srk. his career is not about hahk. he has many huge blockbusters other than hahk so who cares. but if i take out ce from srk’s career he will be like fish without water. and even that fluke ce is like mouse infront of bb and sultan in terms of footfalls and collections.
@honest man-According to you none of lallu’s hit films are his credit since he is a non-actor and never got a prestigious award or a good review praising his acting. So Bajrangi Bhaijaan is due to Harshali Malhotra and Sultan is due to Anushka Sharma since both are far better actresses compared to certified Non-actor lallu. It’s true Deepika’s acting was appreciated in CE but so was SRK’s performence as an “Entertainer” since all the comedy and action in CE was done by him. SRK has the record number of most awarded and praised performances that means all the credit for his hit films goes to him along with Karan Arjun since the same Non-actor lallu failed to give a hit with actor Aamir Khan. And who told you SRK’s career is empty without CE? According to Producer figure he has more than one ATHG. The credit’s for DDLJ, KKHH, Karan Arjun, RNBDJ, OSO etc all went to him. So instead of crying on Indicine you better open your own website listing your foul logics and manipulated data to prove that your Local star, Non-actor, Teesra khan for 2 decades was even a star before 2010 since when he started to do bhojpuri south remake garbages to attract rickshawala fans…!!!
@nn deepika , harshali and anushka are not same. deepika can give huge grossers without big stars and there are many examples of that like ram leela, yjhd , bm. what is the aukat of harshali. what is her standing in the industry without bajrangi bhaijaan. the day anushka will start giving 150 crore grossers with ranveer and ranbir i will accept her as a big star. pk is not her film. pk would have done 338 crore even with a new heroine. salman has proved that he can give 300 crore even with a mixed word of mouth film which had no harshali. actor and non actor is decided by audience not by fake awards. the way every srk film crashes on monday itself proves what audience think of him as an actor. giving huge grossers has not happened with salman once or twice that is an habit of salman.
and srk has only 1 all time grosser that’s ce . the datas in both indicine and boi.com shows that.
