Three of the biggest box office openers this year – Ra One, Ready and Bodyguard – are all masala flicks catering to a huge audience both in India and overseas. While Ready and Bodyguard cost less and were far less promoted, the opening numbers are comparable with Shahrukh Khan’s ambitious Ra One.
Day 1: Bodyguard released during EID and Ra One for Diwali, both holidays but the SRK starrer was affected by Diwali celebrations as collections witnessed a sharp dip for the afternoon and evening shows. Bodyguard of course, released on less number of prints went on to do 21 crores of business on Day 1 in India. Ready was a non-festive release and still did well. Winner – Bodyguard
Day 2: Belongs to SRK’s Ra One. The film had a historic Thursday amassing collections in excess of 24 crores – the biggest single day collections in the history of the Hindi film industry. Comparatively, Bodyguard did pretty well too. Ready was much lower. Winner – Ra One
Day 3: While collections of dubbed regional language versions plunged, Ra One in Hindi (especially the 3D version) was rock solid considering that it was a working day in most parts of the country. Bodyguard too was steady, witnessing approximately the same percentage of drop on the third day of its release. Ready picked up considerably as it was a Sunday. Winner – Ra One

As is pretty evident from the table above, Ra One is ahead by more than 15% compared to the second best – Bodyguard. If combined with overseas business, Ra One is way ahead of all Hindi releases so far this year.
Irrespective of what happens from here on, SRK has proved once again, that he belongs right up there somewhere in the Top 3. Don 2 is likely to be less promoted and it should be interesting to see how it matches up to these 3 money-spinners.

Why these salman fans and srk haters can’t digest the fact that ra.one is breaking records and making very good money,even if a movie of avatar standards with a budget of more than 1000 crores is released in india it can’t earn more than a certain amount, may be 300 crores. No one stopped salman from making a high budget movie and promoting it but he seems to be happy in earning money by making all those low class and low budget movies, frankly saying he is not daring to invest big money in a movie. When someone like shahrukh is trying to take bollywood ahead by making a high technique and high budget movie you all are trying to pull him back by praising salman who is busy in making remakes of south indian movies.

I thoroughly dis encourage to compare between Bodyguard and Ra.One because Ra.One is extremely big budgeted movie with more than 1000 theater release alone in India than Bodyguard. So Still per theater collection is far lower than Bodyguard. And a sudden drop which I expect to happen soon can trash the Ra.One to dustbin. Just let it finish the 1st weekend, things will start going down for sure. It may collect profit after crossing 150 cr. but that would still make it call an average film at BOX Office due to wide release and huge cost associated with it!! and I also can guarantee you that it will never be able to cross the Net collection of 3 Idiots from India!! so Amir and Salman is still on top in terms of BOX Office race!

salman is one man army,the guy proved him self that he works with newcomer director and star cast and proved that he is real hero.not like srk who does not come out his comfort zone(working with big banner and big budget film like karan johar or yash raj films.

Ra.One released on Wednesday opened to superb response all over and has just edged out Bodyguard and set a new high for the first three days. The film has mixed reports and mass centres are likely to see drops while urban centres will have a good run for two weeks.
Damadamm and Tell Me Oh Khuda opened to a poor 0-5% response on Thursday. Both film will go unnoticed due to the Ra.One wave.
The other releases like Mujhse Fraandship Karoge, Rascals, etc had an abrupt end to their run with the release of Ra.One on Wednesday
Sharukh is not concerd tht much about how the film made bussiness.he is the king..kings have trillions and quillions of money..the imprt part is he did the biggest vfx movie wth visuals effects in hollywood,after avtar,hai kisismain dum..the movie damm rocks..everytjng is done wth logics,all gud sayings,logical movie wth visual effects .kids like it and the one who is a fun loving r kid from heart wld definately like it..it needs a gud sense…to undustand.movie is import guys.its a slow posion wait and watch the results of ra.one.why u guys always compare shahrukh and salman.both r the best..who the hell r we to compare.they both deserves the best.we r.
