Ra One released today to a mixed response; a certain section of the audience, especially the kids have liked the film. But the college going students, who are exposed to mega-budget Hollywood flicks, have rejected it outright. For a film to beat the 201 crore record of 3 Idiots, it has to be universally liked and the word-of-mouth – which isn’t very positive for Ra One – has to be super strong.
Although a little too early, its probably safe to predict that Ra One is unlikely to beat 3 Idiots and the record, atleast until the release of Don 2 later this year, is safe!

Soumya you grow up bro. Aamir and Salman can’t make a movie to be a blockbuster or flop. when majority likes then it become a super hit or BB or ATBB. But when only fans of of concerned star like the movie thn fans like u say that Salman’s fans don’t understand computer and science so they wont appreciate Ra One and some of them are just being biased.A very well made film.I couldn’t find any difference between last 3 Salman Khan movies they were all the same.Where as SRK gave a MNIK , Ra One , Don 2 which are completely different from each other.

And if we add regional’s collections, the exact figure is 18.25 crores. It’s really really heartbreaking. It was affected by something which usually has nothing to do with Cinema- Diwali Puja! Sad! According to Boxofficeindia, opening was 100% everywhere but Delhi, Punjab, UP and MP were hit hard by Diwali Puja as the film went as low as 25% for some shows in these regions and even after Diwali collections were no way near the morning levels.
SRK was advised to release it on Thursday. He knew Diwali Puja might affect the wave. But really he is an amazing planner. He released it on very day of Diwali, got affected…And now better a 5-Day weekend might help a bit in revenues. Many trade analysts already said that not sure Ra.One would break Day-1 record or not but it would surely thrash opening weekend and opening week records of Bodyguard. The very day after Diwali is used to meet, greet and have fun. Nothing like Puja effect today! And as Taran Adrash tweeted that Thursday going to be humongous. Big holiday! Expecting to be 30% to 50% bigger than Wednesday.
No worry! If SRK released it on Thursday, he would get a 4-day weekend and that 4-Day weekend eventually could stop him to break opening weekend and opening week records despite it might break opening day record in Diwali Puja’s absence then……Kabhi kabhi kuch jeetne ke liye kuch harna bhi padta hai. Aur har kar jeetne walon ko Baazigar kehte hain……Phle 1 record break hota, 2 bach jate! Ab 1 bach gya, lekin 2 tuttenge! Satisfactory!

The most I loved about movie is screenplay. Movie unfolds in outstanding way. It’s a wholesome entertainer. Action scenes going to get u on d edge. Go watch it people otherwise u’ll regret later.

SRK has also done remakes…DON, DEVDAS….If u are taking 9 months for promoting + u have 800 more screens in india than Bodyguard+ there is 20% hike in the rates of tickets+ in promotion u are spending 45 cr + collaberated with >40 brands+ video game+blah-2….. & then also u are not able to break any record then….sry to say. u are not KING KHAN.

No way it can beat the record of either 3 Idiots, Bodyguard or Dabangg! It is a one time watch and curiosity of people will lessen day after day. Finally, the business of Ra.One will falter. But I am really expecting something from Don 2.

Ra.One has run riot on thursday across the country. Yesterday it started like a runaway train but hit a block in the form of Diwali puja but today it started in the same way but no block.
The film is recording full houses at multiplexes and single screens across the country. If North India was slow after 1pm yesterday, today it is shattering all records. On Wednesday, only three circuit records were made for the first day but today it is likely that it will record the highest all time collections single day collections in almost every circuit of India.
Yesterday it was almost certain around 7pm that it will not beat the first day record and today around 7pm it is certain that it will be recording the biggest day in history just a question of how far ahead it goes of the 20.60 crore nett record.
Once again Sharukh aka King Khan has proved himself the one and only in Bollywood. I dont know why people are comparing the movie RaOne with Bodyguard or Dabangg. These films been rated and easily collected the huge ammount because most of the pple of India are illiterate and like Romantic movie much.
RaOne is not for all catagories, it been developed as Hollywood.
