According to BOI..
Ra.One is looking at a 3500 screen release in India. It could even go higher by the time the film hits the theatres. Bodyguard had a 2700 screen release on around 1950 theaters.
Ra.One is likely to have 3100 screen release on around 2100 theatres in Hindi and a possible 350-400 screens in Tamil and Telugu. In the South, it will be by far the largest release for a Hindi film that is dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. There will be around 600 screens showing the 3D version.
It is set to dominate multiplexes like no film before it as it takes up practically all the screens at multiplexes and that too at higher ticket rates at many places.
Bodyguard was the film to cross 1000 UFO digital screens on release with 1175 UFO screens. Ra.One is likely to hit the 1300 plus mark. A lot of the initial business expansion has been helped by these UFO screens as it was just five years ago that a blockbuster like Krissh was released on 85 UFO digital screens

The south has already started booking the tickets (In places it is houseful..and also their are shows being run for Ra.One at 9 in the morning..1st time in South History for an Indian Film)..
In gujrat a group has booked all the shows for 5days..It has started getting housefull a week before its release in places..the advance response might turn out to be pureley HISTORICAL..I wont be surprised if on Tuesday..The tickets for the next 2-3days gets booked in big metro cities..
I dont know now what to expect from the film..I think it might end up as the first film to gross worldwide 100Million Dpllar mark.. i.e 475+Cr

As sources said that- Ra.one has gained 95% of the screen shows at the theatres.. Other releases like Damadamm and Tell Me O Khuda has only got 5% of it. That means only 1 or 2 show Per Theatre. Ra.One will re-create HISTORY by beating 3 Idiots,etc.

@aashkaran i think diwali factor effects more on night shows only, but no that much as we r thinking, kyu ki last 2 shows ko effect karega fir bhi jitna audians chahiye utna to aaram se hi mil jayega, night show bhi confirm housefull hei ye baat advance booking khulte hi pataa chal jaayegi, fikar not my bro. Is diwali pataakhe k saath saath lallu n aamir ki aur uske fans ki gaand bhi jalegi, jal ke raakh ho jaayegi….. To aap haarne k liye ready ho jaao, 30-35 crores to bantaa hei boss…

@Aashkaran, frankly.. It’s hard to predict. Would would have thought Bodyguard will do more than 20 crores on Day 1, that too on Wednesday without a full release. So yes, even 27 – 30 crores is possible! Let’s see, 5 days to go!

but the optimistic and hopeful part of me says 28+Cr is on the menu..
No matter what 2nd day is ought to be greater than the 1st day..and it would be thru Ra.One only ..we’ll come to know the exact Indian Film Market Capacity both Worldwide and in India..
I cant predict anymore..Its too hard..
Let’s just say this.. Anything less than what Bodyguard did would be disappointing. Around 25 crores would be great (considering the number of prints). 30 crores and above – historic!

1 st day gross of raone in india will be between 30 to 35 crore bcz of its widest release.
3500 prints wow and 95% reserve in multiplexes wow Ra.one breaking every record even Bodyguard had 80% reserve in multiplexes and I remember when Sallu fans saying that Bodyguard has brocken the first day boxoffice record since that time I am thinking that Ra.one will surely break all records because he is Shahrukh the Don and even Indicine agreed that Ra.one will surely go past 23 crore and more in day one.
