Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was Shahrukh Khan’s biggest India grosser ever and his latest release – Ra One – is most likely to go past the Aditya Chopra directed film in less than 5 days!
Released in 2008, Rab Ne.. collected Rs 86 crores in India and went on to be the biggest grosser ever – until Ghajini released later that year and crossed the 100 crore mark for the very first time.
Ra One collected 74 crores (including the dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions) in 4 days and if the morning shows on Sunday are anything to go by, it should easily cross the lifetime collections of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in its first weekend itself.
SRK’s last release My Name Is Khan (2010) opened to a great response in India, but couldn’t sustain too well beyond its first week. While its overseas collections were phenomenal, business in India was pretty disappointing (72 crores).
Its actually indeed, that raone is a flop film bcos as compare to other films it has :
1/ huge promotions.
2/huge screen, more than 3000.
3/150cr budget.
4/released in diwali a festive day.
5/dubbed in tamil and telugu.
But still its collection till saturday is 67cr….
