After over a year of build-up and mega-hype, Ra One finally hits theaters early next week (Wednesday). The advance booking has already started at several multiplexes and the demand for tickets was pretty good on Saturday.
With 3500 prints and 15 – 20 shows everyday at multiplexes, tickets should be easy to find on Wednesday.
For SRK and the Ra One team (especially director Anubhav Sinha), a long journey that started more than 5 years ago, comes to an end. The film’s fate, like every other release, would depend entirely on the audience verdict. If liked, Ra One should break every existing record.

optimists opine that the net collections of Ra.One would be Rs. 18 crore, Rs. 85 crore and Rs. 110 crore for the first day, 5 days and 9 days respectively.

It’s not merely a great looking film, but also has soul, which is so essential to strike a chord with the avid moviegoer. As for the business prospects, RA.ONE is sure to shatter all previous records and set new ones, in India as well as internationally. The film will be the new yardstick for measuring success. It has Blockbuster written all over it!

I also doubt that. BCOZ when I first saw the teaser and trailers of this movie I’d thought it would be a big hit. But I started reading reviews from some websites. NOTE : Reviews are from people who watched the film in Dubai as a premiere. And I found that some people give average reviews and some gave bad review Here’s one of the review I read from Rottentomatoes.com :

I saw this movie when it premiered here in Dubai. I expected Shahrukh Khan to “bring it” as he usually does. Boy I couldn’t have been more wrong! This movie was like a train derailment, just plain awful. The special effects were terrible, everything looked like it was made at the last minute. This was supposed to be a “family film” but be suprised because in this movie you hear over the top dirty jokes, insinuations and insults…..I mean really dirty….one could even say pornographic. There goes Bollywood. There were small kids in the hall and even they didn’t like the movie. You heard the stars use the word condoms at least 3 times during the movie. I know what you are thinking but this being a family film, falls short on everything. The story was unimaginative to say the least. The director (Anubhav Sinha) had written it himself….The only thing I kept thinking was, number one, I could do a better job at directing a movie. Number 2, that Anubhav should have read at least 5 comic books so that he had an idea of what a superhero film is…..HE REALLY DOESN’T.
The only thing I liked about the movie was Priyanka Chopra’s cameo…..She looked absolutely breathtaking in red. The only thing I can say is, this is Shahrukh Khan’s worst movie. (I “used” to be a huge fan). At the premiere Shahrukh looked very thin and behind me you heard the fans saying he is so old now….they were right. Arjun Rampal looks great in real life and so does Kareena Kapoor. She infact looks a lot more beautiful in person than she does in her movies. At the premiere you got to see how hectic and chaotic their lives were. ( I bet they can’t go anywhere without being spotted, I kinda felt bad for them. This was their life they can never shop in a mall or eat at burger king, buy groceries etc.) I actually shook Shahrukh’s and Arjun’s hand at the premiere. Hope I’m not boring you. But on a final note on a scale from 1-10 I give Ra. One a 0.
hooo hahahha..accept for the paid reviews (taran, komal) all other reviews are negative even from viewers..rediff even gave the movie 1.5 stars out of 5…hahaha if you guys call bodyguard a bad movie than Taran and Komal gave bodyguard same stars as they gave to Ra1 so according to them Ra1 and bodyguard are same.ahhahaha and look at the budgets of the 2 movies…Ra1 almost 3times the bodyguard and still a crapy movie.

no body stopped the makers of bodyguard to release it in 1000 more screens….and cut this crap abt more no. of screens….u were the same guys who wrote off shahrukh khan completely when his previous films released in lesser no. of screens and could nt match the stupendous collections of ghajini and 3 idiots…yess i am talking of my name is khan and rab ne bana di jodi…rab ne bana di jodi released in abt 1100 screens and still made around 95 crores…whereas aamir’s ghajini in 1500 screens and made 130 crores….no body was vouching for logic den….all u wanted to do then is write dis..’shah rukh khan dethroned’…..now if he is grossing higher than all these movies…accept his success gracefully…..i m a huge fan of salman khan too…but opinions should nt be made on a situational basis to suit your arguement…..
