After over a year of build-up and mega-hype, Ra One finally hits theaters early next week (Wednesday). The advance booking has already started at several multiplexes and the demand for tickets was pretty good on Saturday.
With 3500 prints and 15 – 20 shows everyday at multiplexes, tickets should be easy to find on Wednesday.
For SRK and the Ra One team (especially director Anubhav Sinha), a long journey that started more than 5 years ago, comes to an end. The film’s fate, like every other release, would depend entirely on the audience verdict. If liked, Ra One should break every existing record.

here in Noida..One Cinema is running 30SHows that too for 3D..leave 2D aside..
And Price is hiked very high..coz owners know people will flock to see it..
A normal 130 ticket sold at 175
and in places 200 3D ticker for 275
Can u tell me is this much hiking good or bad ..coz their is a chance of loosing viewers too

The advance booking of Ra.One started on Thursday at select multiplexes and it was a muted response as was the case with Bodyguard due to the fact these film’s release on Wednesday and there are no set dates when the advance starts unlike the Friday releases.
The Bodyguard advance really picked up on Sunday at multiplexes and it is likely to the case here as well.
The advance started for Ra.One at a few DT cinemas in the Delhi/NCR area and the odd single screen here and there.

so how much money does Ra One need to make in india to be declared ATBB?
We call a movie ATBB if it makes a profit 3 times its cost (source boxofficeindia, taran adarsh and komal nehata). Now with the RA1’s cost of 200 crs it needs to have profit of 600 crs and we are talking about just the theatrical business and not sat rights and music rights. So u can say that RA1 can never achieve ATBB status in INDIA because to get pure profit of 600 crs it needs to do a business of 800 crs in india. If RA1 does around 200 cr business then it ill break even theatrically and will just be called a hit. anything less than 200 will make it either average, blow average or flop. Overseas might get there because for overseas we calculate on the bases of its sold price to overseas distributors..Eros in this case so it might get to ATBB in overseas. I know Indicine said it be superhit if it does a business of 175cr in india but truly they don’t know what they are talking about. More reliable sources are boxofficeindia, businessofcinema and these taran and komal guys.
