Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has recorded the third highest first weekend collections. The film has surpassed the first 3-day business of Salman Khan’s last release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, even though it had one less holiday.
The Hindi version of PRDP has collected Rs 101.47 crore in 3 days and the Telugu / Tamil version has contributed around 2.75 crore to the total.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is only behind the weekend business of Dhoom 3 and Happy New Year. Dhoom 3 was the third film in the industry’s most successful franchise and Happy New Year had two full holidays (Diwali and Sunday).

Except BB all aamir and salman starrer got only one sunday holidays and still so many records. srk with 2 holidays not able to cross 100 crs. CE without Thursday Previews grossed only 94 crs. and without 2 Holidays he is nothing Ex Ra.One-57 crs. He should be called as Holiday Star and He have only Holiday Stardom. Kick in the month of Ramzan grossed 84 which will be challenge for Dilwale to break. Ramzan And Clash both r equals. PRDP’s 104 crs (Without sunday and with only 1 holiday) Record is not in the reach of srk without 2 Holidays including Sunday. So Kick’s Record of 83.85 is safe. @xzone you didn’t get my point. The early estimate are given on the basis of samples tracked from various screens. So if Indicine contacted 100 screens distributes/exhibitors from various circuit, they will give their estimate for 5000 screens on their tally.Their estimate was 39.05 cr for all versions was for 5000 screens, official collection came 45cr, now screens are 4200 for hny but collection remain same 45cr. My question is this if they had to follow the official collection than why are they doing effort to track sources and gives early estimates. In response to this Indicine claimed that its tough to get sources for bigger screens, my question is that prdp screens are highest as per them but why their all 3 day early estimate are almost equal to official collection, why on dhoom 3 which released on highest screen that time all the 3 days estimate were almost accurate. Why there estimate of k3 which released on lesser screens than dhoom 3 their estimate were 8 cr lower than estimates.
