Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is set for a bigger than expected drop at the box office today, as business has come down quite significantly at multiplexes on Monday. It looks like the film is set for a total of less than 15 crore on its first weekday.
PRDP had a strong extended weekend, but cracks began to appear as early as Saturday, when the ‘on-the-spot’ ticket sales decreased drastically on both Saturday and Sunday. PRDP was pulling through on strength of a good advance and also corporate bookings for the weekend.
While single-screens business is holding up well, multiplexes have shown sharp decline on Monday, with business down by more than 60% from Sunday. States like UP and Bihar are strongholds for both Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya films, and it’s in these circuits where the film is holding up well.
Mysore circuit has shown a significant decline as multiplexes in cities like Mangalore and Bangalore have literally crashed on Monday. Even multiplexes in Mumbai circuit has shown alarming drops, with the exception being the state of Gujarat where the film is enjoying a dream run.
Looking at the weekend trend (decline each day after a fantastic opening day) and the way the film is performing on Monday, a total of 250 crore plus is likely to be out of reach and it remains to be seen if PRDP can take advantage of a open second week.
PRDP will most probably finish earning huge after the 1st week itself bcoz SPECTRE is releasing on 20th which is expected to take the BO by storm. James Bond movie that too franchise and PVR being the official sponsor, SPECTRE will take a 10 cr+ opening. An outdated 90s movie vs Action thriller bond movie, there’s no competition from week 2.
PRDP will end close to 205 crores maximum.
Lollzz as i have been saying from the start the festivitis helped a lot and big tym if not struggle was on for a 111cr total like jai ho..todays realistic figure looks like 11crs and huge drops from tomorrow so a week one of 163crs and lyftym around 192..as i told you early indicine u will go wrong again this tym by predicting 250crs lyftym and giving a 4* rating to this crap..are you nuts.,if you give the rating on the basis of business then give business ratings rather than reviewing the story..but even if we consider it business rating then too u hav gone wrong…i mean seriously indicine 4**** for this utter crap..prem uncle ko diwali ne bacha liyo…where are the 400cr storm peoples who abuse other actors..this is the perfect result for such stupid bhaitards..

Saw it yesterday.. this one is no where near to Mr Barjatiy’s HAHK. Which happens to be the first movie I saw with my family in the theaters..(2 times) that was the magic of that movie which made my father who hates watching movies was pulled to the theaters twice..
The film has done pretty well and its already in profit zone, The problem is people expect every Salman movie to be blockbuster.Bhai fans please don’t fall for the Sambudha trap because he created so many fake akki acounts that bashes khans and funnly enough he started talking to himself. Akki ka fan is one of his trolling acounts.It will be acelebration for any akki fan if Airlift did 130cr which PRDP did in 4 days.Enjoy the movies and leave fan wars to kids.

Haha the movie has crashed and for the ri8 reason. At the end of the day content is the king.Ppl were bashing akshay that bros only did 85 cr.While even the fans of opposite camp knew that it could have done 150-200 cr with solid content.Now lallu fans would have got their answer.As far prdp is concerned i think it will finish below 200 coz youth has rejected it and families dont turn out in normal weekdays.

The film is going to follow the HNY trajectory: huge opening followed by a poor trend. The huge opening, which will account for about 4/6th of the lifetime business, will deceive box office pundits and fans alike into the belief that the film was a ‘hit’!
