Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is set for a bigger than expected drop at the box office today, as business has come down quite significantly at multiplexes on Monday. It looks like the film is set for a total of less than 15 crore on its first weekday.
PRDP had a strong extended weekend, but cracks began to appear as early as Saturday, when the ‘on-the-spot’ ticket sales decreased drastically on both Saturday and Sunday. PRDP was pulling through on strength of a good advance and also corporate bookings for the weekend.
While single-screens business is holding up well, multiplexes have shown sharp decline on Monday, with business down by more than 60% from Sunday. States like UP and Bihar are strongholds for both Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya films, and it’s in these circuits where the film is holding up well.
Mysore circuit has shown a significant decline as multiplexes in cities like Mangalore and Bangalore have literally crashed on Monday. Even multiplexes in Mumbai circuit has shown alarming drops, with the exception being the state of Gujarat where the film is enjoying a dream run.
Looking at the weekend trend (decline each day after a fantastic opening day) and the way the film is performing on Monday, a total of 250 crore plus is likely to be out of reach and it remains to be seen if PRDP can take advantage of a open second week.
Again it a awesome movie.
FOX & SALMAN collections updates are more entertaining than PRDP it self.. there is huge difference after 4 days between official and Boi collection. now by following the logic of Criminal’s fans their criminal has broke all record of manipulation & is on the way to break Rakesh’s record?
PRDP Sunday official coll ? around : 28cr ? what was HNY sunday ? : 32cr, Salman stardom, Lol.. & PRDP starting dropped after Diwali completed even Ra. one with disaster talk had a decent trend and its first considerable drop came on 7th day, that shows the real stardom.
Now Monday will be around 10cr (less than Hny once again) . They were laughing once Hny did 15cr + now how shameful they will be on their criminal and on their own selves? it is visible, that’s the reason most of criminals r absent here while they were saying SRKians will be absent, haha!!

HNY collected 203 cr last year let’s see if the so called new bollywood king can reach that number. The record number of screens on which the film released was a clear indication that the makers knew the film lacked in content department. now all eyes are on Dilwale, and lest’s see if that film can be the second film of the year to cross 250 cr!

PRDP find it difficult to cross 190cr at box office, sad but true.The biggest problem with PRDP is that there is nothing in the film which youth can relate too,other movies like HNY,bodyguard atleast had action,comedy and theme which suitable to current generation but PRDP lacked this. Moreover Family audience gives it try on weekend but they can’t come in big numbers on weekday specially when movie didn’t find appreciation.
@challa prdp not alone, Ra1 also came same category, 5 days extended weekend was 82cr and lifetime 114cr, 70% collection came in extended weekend. Movies like Don2,jthj,ra1 won’t even crossed 80cr if they were normal release, even hny can cross 120cr with normal release period that’s a fact.
Same goes for Salman’s Bodyguard and Dabangg 2 as well. Aamir Talaash couldn’t touch 100cr as it lacked entertainment value and released normal weekend time. That’s a true fact for all the movies I mentioned here.
