Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is looking at another solid day at the box office as the film is likely to collect a little less than 30 crore on Saturday. The Salman Khan starrer dropped in the morning, but business has picked up quite significantly evening onwards.
As of 8:30PM on Saturday, the advance booking for the night shows at multiplexes is good and families have come out in big numbers to watch the film.
The 3-day business is likely to come in the 100 crore plus range, for the Hindi version only, which would be fantastic since it only had one major holiday in its first 3 days at the box office. The film would then be targeting 4-day weekend business of 135 crore plus.
On social media, the response to PRDP has been mixed, but such films do hold tremendous appeal at smaller centres. Barjatya’s last film Vivah was rejected by the critics, it didn’t do well in metro cities either, but was a record grosser in a circuit like Bihar.
@Satyajit Sorry to disappoint you but being a South Indian I know the respect both Srk and Aamir command in South India.BTW the actor who you have just mentioned is a huge Srk fan and this is what he had to say about SRK and Salman

review doesn’t matter when salman movie. personally i expect high for prdp it’s below the mark. tomorrow will be much higher than those 2 days i visit bookmyshow for that and see in mumbai gujarat and hydrabad as well as madhyapradesh getting better booking than saturday and friday while noticeble drop on delhi even north india is the reason for less collection of prdp because they expend too much money kis kis ko pyarr karoon, singh is bling, pyar ka punchnama 2 that all movie collection’s 40 or 50 % amount only from north india. they waiting tamasha and dilwale. i am not srk fan but that is true. delhi, gujarat, west bengal waiting for dudhwale. and maharastra waiting for both dilwale will not get higher number of first day beacuse it has been devide in maharastra which has highest theatre in country hope best will win. i didnt like prdp but it didnt mean film is bad. even every family has some issues i feel in morden days every younger brother seeing him self as neil nitin mukesh if not feels then he is lying pls comment if u r agree or not and indicine pls publish it
my son satyajit was telling srk didn.t beat prabhas then just because avatar earned more is avatar actor better then alll.my son satyajit thinks that 2 and 1 notable flims of solo salman and amir movies upto 2007 makes them legend…but the fact is srk is sachin who have rule boxoffice with his consistent but aamir and salman are sewag no matter if thet hit 200 or 300 sachin consistent make him more greatest….coz when salman and aamir were giving flop upon flop my son satyajit u were not born …..so u don.t know sachin game and consistent …….same as u only know now srk comparision with aamir and salman…but u r unknown about srk consistancy
its good if monday come around 20 cr

When srk movie cross bb (321),then talk,,when srk movie cross pk 340cr,then talk,,, in terms of box office south star prabas is better than srk,,, I don’t have any problems with srk or his movies but my problem is why srk fans will talk about box office,, when srk movie cross prabas, Salman, aaaaaamir then come, comments will listen u guys till then shut the f offf

If 125 CR is the population, it doesn’t mean that all of them will watch these movies on big screen. If I’m not wrong, no Bollywood movie has crossed the footfall of 5 CR till date. So actual movie goers lie something between 2-4 CR and trust me, most of them are well aware of social Media and these online polls. And if not to electronic media, they are at least connected to print media and they know what the reviews are meant for!!!
Worth to mention, Facebook alone has around 11+ crore registered users in India let alone other networking sites like twitter etc.
So when you say, 99% are not aware , I guess you are referring the residents of those tribal areas, who have not watched a movie on big screen even once in their lifetime ..!
My dear friends it is a cult film. Sooraj has a hard task in front of him, to clear the dirt accumulated on the hearts of people in last many years. Unfortunately, filmmaking has become an extremely commercial business. For example how beautifully he had expressed love in song Jalte Diye and how calmly he has reunited the whole family in title song. I will go again to only watch Salman’s acting when he hugged his sisters before the title song started.Friends just keep waiting and you’ll see with some more passing days, this movie will be watched again and again. Just give sometime, cinema owners will be forced to retain screens despite release of new movies. Sooraj has his own unique style of storytelling and an honest person like him is bound to touch the hearts. People will watch this movie multiple times.
Should crawl from Monday onwards.

If you are saying PRDP is underperforming as per expectations by some Salman fans who claimed 350-400 crs (which was unrealistic) then it is performing above the haters expectations as well. Those who were predicting to be Flop or ending up below 200 crs are now changing to 220-240 crs. Check @javed comment !!!!!!!
