Aamir Khan’s PK has shattered all box office records for a film released during a non-holiday weekend in 2014. Overall, the two-day worldwide collections is Rs 113.79, which is only lower than Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Aamir’s last release Dhoom 3.
PK has fared exceptionally well in the domestic markets, even though it released on a working day and picked up quite significantly on Saturday. In the overseas markets, the film opened to outstanding collections too and showed fantastic growth on Saturday in almost all markets.
With 3 open weeks and the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, coupled with positive word-of-mouth, the industry is hopeful that the Rajkumar Hirani film is set for a long and successful run at the box office.

People who r hating PK should give it a repeat watch. Just like indicine rated 3 idiots lowly, but indicine enjoyed it after repeat watch. It can happen to u with PK also.
PK has broken Dhoom 3s opening weekend record in the USA/ Canada market…! Amazing feat consideing Dhoom brand belongs to Hrithik but minus the brand Aamir still broke this record. Wiki state Dhoom 3s record at $3,423,508 and PK according to BoxOfficeMojo has collected (its estimate from 272 screens) $3,461,000
This is way ahead of kings halloween party on Diwali that grossed $2million… Aamir rocks in the US- more records to be broken this Christmas by Aamir Khan…!
