PK is showing much better trends than Dhoom 3, which indicates that the film will not only cross the 300 crore mark, but could go on to be a much bigger grosser. The second week collection comparison suggests that PK is likely to be ahead by around 20-30% and could sustain even better during the weekdays.
Comparing the word-of-mouth, the Rajkumar Hirani film is easily the better liked film of the two. While Dhoom 3 also did well, it wasn’t carrying that ‘must watch’ tag – which could be a key factor, especially with the New Year holiday and a open week before the release of Tevar.

@sss even aamir fans are not haters of Shahrukh. We accept that he was great actor in 1990s in movies like darr, baazigar, DDLJ, DTPH, K2H2, swadesh, chai de, etc. but his own arrogance has become so high that he calls himself king, and his fans are blindly following him. They always bark on Aamir’s success. That’s the reason why I started hating him. When aamir gave back to back ATBBS with ghajini and 3 I, he didn’t start calling himself best or biggest or bla bla bla. Also I was not amongst those fans who were after Srk. But after talaash, which was only made for niche audience, and even aamir said that he did it not for BO’s 100 cr, but he did it because he loved the story, and it was anyhow expected to do less than 100 cr, but srk’s fans started to take talaash as regularly, and keep giving excuses when dhoom 3 broke all records as brand and now when PK is breaking all records, you are giving excuses about hirani. That’s the reason why I hate Srk and his fans. If you want me to show respect for your star than you better start respecting him and stop giving excuses about the success of his film.
@sss and don’t pretend to be a saint. If you call aamir half actor, than I can give much more insulting adjectives for your 3-4 blockbuster giver stuttering actor. So improve yourself first before expecting same for others. Why the hell are you keep saying 12 hits for aamir? Aamir has made many path breaking roles and risky movies, and he has never thought about this silly rate race which your king keeps doing. Aamir could have given many more hits than stuttering actor had he done more films and made himself exposed more to the media and made savvy PR which your king is riding on. So better take a bow. Aamir’s success ratio is much better than any Bollywood actor including your king who gives leap year BB.

Now, 350 is possible as New Years Day (Jan 1st) might give it another 30+ crores looks like.
