In just 9 days, PK is already at No 5 in the all time list of highest grossers in Bollywood. The Aamir Khan starrer now needs just Rs 69 crore to beat the lifetime record of Dhoom 3 and go on to be the highest grosser of time.
By the end of its second weekend, PK should break the record of Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express and Salman Khan’s Kick. The collections on Monday will then decide when the film beats the Rs 283 crore of Dhoom 3 and also become the first film to cross the 300 crore mark.

Today I am going to post about my Best 10 movies of 2014.
I feel the numbers of great films in 2014 were not as much as those of 2012 or 2013. The movies of superstars were also not that good either(Expection:PK) and most of them come in average to below average catagory. Here is the list of my best 10 films whom I personally found good/deserving enough to include. I am not considering a few films(like Ankhon Dekhi,Ugly,Hawaa Hawaai) as I haven’t watched them yet.
10. City-Lights:
I wish they had given some more importance at the background score and camera angles. There were some flaws, but the things who worked were the honest and terrific performances by the two leads. The climax was impressive too.
9. Rang Rasiyaa:
After a lot of controversies, it finally released. Had it contain a superstar in it,it would have been appriciated by many. Certainly not a great movie, but definitely watchable! Randeep Hooda deserves praise for his performance.
8. Mardaani:
Mardaani is much better than many useless thrillers of B’town. Rani Mukherjee has delivered one of the best performances of the year. There were no songs in the film(excluding the theme song), which was actually a good decision by the makers!
7. Hasee Toh Phasee:
simple story with a predictable ending, but the screenplay was impressive. Entertainment level was really high. Pareeniti has delivered a stronge performance.
6. Khoobsurat:
I found this movie consistantly entertaining. The performances by all the stars were praise-worthy. The mother-daughter chemistry between Sonam Kapoor and Mrs. Kher worked very well.
5. Finding Fanny:
These kind of movies cann’t be loved by all. The best things about Finding Fanny were the performances, mainly by Pankaj Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and Deepika Padukone.
4. Haider:
Arguably the best acted movie of the year. Shahid,Tabu,Kay Kay Menon, Irfan Khan, all were brilliant. The background score was praise-worthy too. The cinematography was brilliant.
Tie 4. Dedh Ishqiyaa:
Simple,beautifully-crafted and well-acted . You can genuinely feel the pain of Madhuri’s character. Huma, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warshi has done a very good job too.
3. PK:
It was really difficult for me to arrange PK,Haider and Dedh Ishqiyaa in a order. The only reason for which I have placed PK higher was its supremely high entertainment factor. PK wasn’t perfect, but there are a lot of things to be loved. Amir has given his best in the movie. The supporting casts were impressive too.
2. Filmistaan:
Who said that off-beat movies are not entertaining? I suggest everyone to watch this movie. I was moved. It is an intelligent movie. Sadly,it doesn’t have popular faces which is why it’s the most underrated film of 2014!
1. Queen:
Queen is a clear Winner. The plot was very simple. Nothing much happened. But, the simplicity creates brilliance in the film. The cinematography,background scores were impressive. Kangana Ranaut has delivered one of the best performances of the century. She deserves maximum credits for the super-success of the movie.
So,these are my best 10 movies of 2014. I would mention Highway in a special catagory mainly because of the wonderful performance by Alia Bhatt.
Eagerly awaiting the formation of 300 club….Aamir will do the ribbon cutting!
I feel the 300 cr club could have been created last year had Dhoom 3 released on a national holiday

As you have mentioned many times that Krish3 figure is false….then why are you not changing the actual figure?? Even the tax department has proven that the figure of 244 cr of Krish3 was Gross total not the net total … Would you please change it?? Thanks
Yeh jawaani hai diwaani is the best of all these movies. Look at the quality of yjhd and look at the crapness of other 19 movies.
Pk has raced ahead of hny agreed but ranbir is better actor. Actors like amir,srk,salman,ajay,akki,hrithik,emran,ranveer and all ham , ham and ham a lot. While ranbir is just excellent out of the world actor.
Aamir,srk,salman,ajay-akki,hr,emran,ranvir n all needs to learn a lot from ranbir. Box office wise, fan,raees,prdp,bb are going to collect much less than tamasha,jagga.
Even after 10 days there is still no single digit collection figure of PK

Hello everybody- in between preparations for my entrance exams at Jaadulands Only Kindergarten sponsored by FilmKraft Super Toy store (owned by Roshans) I have only been able to devote 8 hrs out of 24 hrs of each day to Indicine, 5 hrs to my fav toy Jaadoo, 3 hrs to my new partner kShitij SriWasteTevar, 90 mins to Taylor Swift (30 mins listening to her music and 1 hr dressing up as her) and only 2 hrs to #LooteraFilm on twitter…! But truth is truth and everybody knows the K3 bo collections.
Its been said that the even letter speaks,the way Indicine are posting about pk now a days,their word shows that how they feel not so happy with PK response all over.When the made their first worldwide top list and put Aamir at top,in that list how well they defend srk and even make Aamir to show he leg behind srk,after hny when they update list put srk at no. 1 with tie Aamir,but they put srk at tip next to Aamir,while with logic it Aamir who retain at first as he already at top.
Now I think will they even update their ranking list in future,if they do than I can’t imagine how they define success of pk.I bet if srk was there they will have lots of things to return.
Neither they update the overseas collection of pk and not worldwide figures.

Filmistaan is a good movie but entertaining more than PK ..really ! Pk is better anyday from Filmistaan.
