Here it is! The trailer of Shoojit Sircar’s Piku starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. The trailer was first premiered across all Sony Network channels at 9PM Indian Standard Time and then released on the internet.
Quick Review: Piku has been directed by Shoojit Sircar, who has previously directed films like Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe. The film is about a father’s relationship with his daughter and also his constant battle with constipation.
With actors like Big B, Deepika and Irrfan, the film promises to raise the bar as far as acting is concerned. Deepika’s chemistry with both Irrfan and Amitabh will be something to watch out for. The trailer is sweet, quirky, heart-warming and has that ‘slice of life’ feel to it. It makes the necessary impact, which the first trailer of any film should! We quite like the background music and dialogues too.

Beautiful Trailer. Heartwarming. Shoojit makes such wonderful feel good films, this one too should be no less.
Deepika is turning into a one great Actress in the leagues of Sridevi/Kajol , (though it’s too early to judge her this far) but she’s coming along finely. Amitabh and Irrfan are stalwarts, no comments on these too. Just the release date is a concern for me, lest the movie should do really well. :)
