Massive sets are being constructed for Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Raees’ in Mumbai’s Film City. Since the film is set in the 1980’s, the makers are trying to recreate the city of Ahmedabad to match the bygone era.
Attention to every minute detail is being given tremendous importance as the feel of the film - including houses, buildings, shops, clothes that people wear - will resemble the 80s.
Shahrukh Khan will be playing a Gujrati don, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is his on-screen wife and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play the role of a police officer.
Produced by Excel Entertainment, Raees will be directed by Rahul Dholakia. The film goes on floors early next month.

in 2010 , srk’s serious drama intense movie mnik made 73 cr in India and Bhai’s Veer couldnt even cross 50 cr mark.which was a dream project of our bhai but feeling pitty as bhai’s loyal fans rejected it calmly by staying outside theatres.

@htithik,if WE start to list KING KHAN’S achievement then this comment section will fell short to us.highest grosser has nothing to do with stardom.if so then from 1995-2014,most of the KING SRK films earned higher than salmir films in most of the years irrespective of highest grossers.highest grosser credit should go to mostly to directors as well as actors.salman couldn’t be a crowd puller like KING KHAN even if he will release his date on festive release date besides those rajshri era/south remake/masala genre,what your bhai achieved.

@Navin Uncle.. I spoke about Pre-2010 and you directly jumped to 1998 clearly suggesting that Bhai was non existent between 1998 – 2010. Do you even remember the titles of some of his movies during those disaster days?
Bhai’s special appearance in KKHH.. won him his only Filmfare award apart from debut.. so he should be grateful to SRK.
