Massive sets are being constructed for Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Raees’ in Mumbai’s Film City. Since the film is set in the 1980’s, the makers are trying to recreate the city of Ahmedabad to match the bygone era.
Attention to every minute detail is being given tremendous importance as the feel of the film - including houses, buildings, shops, clothes that people wear - will resemble the 80s.
Shahrukh Khan will be playing a Gujrati don, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is his on-screen wife and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play the role of a police officer.
Produced by Excel Entertainment, Raees will be directed by Rahul Dholakia. The film goes on floors early next month.

Sets will be massive but film will fail. Srk chased Ready for 3 years, he will chase Boduguard’s 140 crore lifetime in 2015. Neither Fan nor Raess can cross Bodyguard’s lifetime, forget reaching Ek Tha Tiger or Kick.
PRDP will crush Raess and Bajrangi Bhaijaan will kick ‘table’ Fan.

Instead of wasting so money on such a mediocre c- grade bhoot bungalow like set, they should have created a world class set with the lal mirchi VFX team na :D , the vfx team would have created not just 1980’s Ahmedabad but also 1680’s Ahmedabad and that too not as grotesque as our charlie’s fake abs in hny.

RAEES will be an HISTORIC ATBB.I can’t think about the movie how is that gonna be.this fact happened with me everytime when some YASHJI/ADITYAJI/KJO directed films or some excel entertainment movie with KING KHAN is about to release.Excel Entertainment the best quality action movie DON2 of India till date.though I am too excited about FAN being a fan but RAEES will blow my mind for sure and an unexpected movie is going to shoot that will remembered gorever like most of the KING KHAN movies.
KING KHAN decided to release RAEES on eid 2016.so there will be clash with salman’s next.otherwise the only thing left for salman to shift release date to some other minor date because DEEWALI also reserved by KING KHAN.if clash happens,then as everyone knows it will be like Excel Entertainment and KING KHAN’S DON vs sallu/akki’s jaaneman.
@JS – we are also waiting for “Bhikhari Bhaijaan” nd “Remake ratan dhan payo” as our beloved bhai is super talented in terms of acting as he has lots of international and national recognizations from all over world.

@Challa.. what do you mean by non-existent? How can you forget Marigold, Shaadi Karke Phass Gaya, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Baabul, Go Tussi Great Ho.. His supporting roles in Partner and No Entry were also massive hits and memorable films.
So what if Bhai wasn’t in Top 3? He was always in Top 15. Even thats a major achievement considering his acting skills.
