The Maharashtra government moved the Supreme Court, challenging the Bombay High Court’s verdict acquitting Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the 2002 hit-and-run case in which one person was killed and four others were injured.
The petition was filed in the apex court against the high court’s judgement acquitting Salman of all charges in the hit and run case, overturning the trial court’s order sentencing him for five years.
“The Bombay High Court has erred in not appreciating the prosecution evidence. The trial court’s order convicting Salman Khan was correct and should be upheld,” Sandeep Shinde, the public prosecutor who has been associated with the case, said about the contents of the Special Leave Petition (SLP).
The high court, in its verdict passed on December 10 last year, had held that prosecution had failed to prove “beyond reasonable doubt” that the actor was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident and was drunk.
Court should also look into Srk matter, he gets invited by terror mastermind Hafeez Saeed.

It was bound to happen . Sessions Court declared Salman punishment of 5 years and then HC declared that Salman is innocent . So once and for all we will get a clear judgement . Either Salman will be declared punishment or he will be given a clean chit . No authority is bigger than SC so Salman and the Prosecution cannot go to someone else . I hope SC takes time but gives the decision without any bias and hypocrisy . Let’s hope the truth prevails !!!!

in all probability now kamaal khan would be summoned as witness by the supreme court. and kamaal khan just recently in a TV interview said that salman was not driving the car and the prosecution claim that he had given a statement that salman was driving is completely false. so game over for prosecution. the prosecution again will be thrashed by the supreme court for their lie, fake witnesses and evidences.
What they f? Again? Leave him alone. Let him do this job and let him have a normal life.
