Here’s the latest update on the highest opening day collections of the Top 15 actors in the industry. With earth-shattering collections of Rs 44.97 crore on Day 1, Shah Rukh Khan continues to rule. Hrithik Roshan, whose last film ‘Bang Bang’ released on a holiday, but was affected by the clash against ’Haider’, comes in at No 2.
The third and fourth spots belong to the two other superstar Khans. Aamir’s PK released on a normal working day, yet managed to collect Rs 26.63 crore. Salman’s Kick was the most affected film in the Top 5 list. His last release not only released on a working day, but also during the Ramadan period.
Varun Dhawan is the biggest gainer so far this year. The actor has managed to double the collections of his last release (Badlapur) with his latest runaway hit (ABCD 2). Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar are the other gainers in 2015.
Unfortunately, Ranbir Kapoor, who was recently voted as the most promising superstar among the younger generation of actors, is the biggest loser. His latest release ‘Bombay Velvet’ collected Rs 5.2 crore on its opening day, which is less than 25% of his previous solo release ‘Besharam’.

Dhoom 3 was an action thriller and out and out commercial and released on pure working day and you know the result. Still highest opener on non holiday. Let srk to come even close to that as dilwale will release on pure working day. CNY was released on biggest holiday and was highly promoted and hyped and it also had high ticket prices. If I am a fan and want to watch PK, I cannot do that as I am at work on friday. So I have to wait till saturday or sunday to watch it.
Similar thing happened with Kick due to Ramadan period.
Bang Bang holiday release means majority people can watch it on first day itself due to holiday. So Bang Bang opened bigger, but that doesnt mean people wanted to watch it more, holiday helped it big time.
Just look at those Bandar Raja fans abusing Hrithik and SRK , telling that they have manipulated !

PK 3rd day collection was 37.5 crore, as most people watched it on Sunday due to lack of holiday on friday and saturday.
If Friday was a holiday, PK would have easily done 37 crore on its first day itself.

Bang Bang had fewer shows than even Mary Kom and other normal weekend movies.. and ticket prices were also 35% lesser than PK at premium multiplexes.
I work at Bookmyshow, so we get to know first when ticket prices are increased.
Hrithik has given highest opening many more times than Aamir in his career.
In 2006, all actors had big releases (Salman was not a big star then).. and Hrithik was well and truly on top that year. SRK had Don and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, both big movies.. Aamir had Rang De Basanti and Fanaa.. Hrithik had Krrish and Dhoom 2.
Now don’t bring Rakesh Roshan and Dhoom franchise nonsense in here.. Because if Hrithik can’t get credit for his father’s films and Dhoom.. then Aamir shouldn’t get credit for Hirani films and Dhoom 3 belonged to the same franchise.

I have no clue what Indicine is trying to prove here. You know at any festive day with a holiday release, any of three khans can make it the highest first day. Having said that, writing an article for one-day business doesnt make any sense at all. It only brings fight among fans. Why do you do this? Me being a writer, I know this is one cheap strategy to bring more number of visitors to the website and more intereactions. You cant make a movie that opens with 45 cr and ends up with below 200 cr look like a great film. well, if you know what I mean.

PDRP releases the same way that HNY released last year, I want to see if Salman can manage a 45cr opening this year.
