It’s never a good sign for any film when the Sunday business is lower than its first day. It’s a sign that the film has not found appreciation and when the trend is so poor, a big drop on Monday is almost a certainty.
Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 opened well at the box office on Friday, the decline on Saturday was big and growth on Sunday wasn’t good enough for the sex comedy. The first weekend business is Rs 20.15 crore.
It’s yet another clash where a more commercial film was competing against a less commercial but ‘content rich’ film. The audience, especially at multiplexes, has completely rejected Kya Kool Hai Hum 3, which in stark contrast to Airlift, completely messed up the timing of its release.
Also, it’s never good for a franchise when the newer film falls well short of the weekend total of the older film in the series. Kya Super Kool Hai Hum, back in 2012, collected Rs 22.5 crore in its first weekend. The third film has fallen short by around 10%, which is huge considering the fact that there is a gap of nearly 4 years between the two films.
With Mastizaade scheduled to release next week, the audience had a similar film to look forward to. This week, it’s all about Airlift!

2nd flop of 2016 after Wazir,Mastizaade does not look promising at all, so 2nd week will be between Airlift and R, Madhavan film which will be releasing to fewer screen of about 800 and the film will completely depend on WOM.

Don’t compare this clash with SULTAN vs Raees clash because here KKHH 3 was always a smaller film and has no chance to win against a patriotic film, starring Akshay Kumar that too on Republic day.
But in SULTAN vs Raees clash SULTAN will be bigger before release, bigger on first day , bigger in weekend and also bigger in week. As you say Raees will may be or may not be better content film but suerly the content differrence will not be as big as in the case of BM vs Dilwale or Airlift vs KKHH 3. Therefore it is going to be really tough for Raees.
If YRF doesn’t agree to change SULTAN release date then Raees will definately postpone or prepone. After loosing with Ranveer Srk will think 100 times before clashing with Salman.

I don’t have any problem with sex comedies or raunchy comedies, i lIke movies lIke American Pie series, Knocked Up, The hangover 1, ted 1, Bad Teacher, Bridesmaids and even bollywood raunchy like Masti 1 and Kya super cool hai hum. But thats because this movies are made with story that has some raunchy comic elements not because they have to inject a story just to show raunchy material.
KKHH3 is pathetic movie, this movie deserve 0 stars out of 10. No story, absurd acting, creepy dialogues and abrupt ending.
What’s so annoying is Tushaar topless in all his current and upcoming movies.. look at maasti.zade..? ? Guess he should start appearing in playboy magazines though he will be the 1st celeb to ruin the editor of playboy career with such physique…!!!?
