With Krrish 3 now almost certain to cross the 200 crore mark at the domestic box office, the big question still remains. Can the Hrithik Roshan starrer beat the lifetime collections of Chennai Express?
First 8 days comparison
- Hindi version: Krrish 3 – 165.5 crore, Chennai Express – 156.44 crore (without paid previews).
- Total collections: Krrish 3 – 175.58 crore, Chennai Express – 163.19 crore.
From here on, if Krrish 3 collects about the same as what Chennai Express did after its 8th day, the film will end up with lifetime collections of around 240 crore.
Chennai Express faced stiff competition from Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara in its second week. Krrish 3 too was affected at urban centres with the release of Hollywood superhero film ‘Thor 2’. Next week, Ram Leela will take a huge chunk of screens and shows from Krrish 3, so the film has to collect as much as it possibly can this weekend.

everyone knows the real collections of krrish 3 are 139cr nett(ALL VERSIONS)….if we compare the real collections of india+overseas krrish 3 is no where near chennai express….producers give inflated collections just that newspapers can make headlines and then footfalls will increase in second and third weekends…its just a marketing gimmick….

The movie with superhero flik , appriciated very well by all of trade analyst and by audience also , Very good reviews , Good word of mouth , released with 4000 screens over india … All these favourable things of k3 enough to create a historical record in bollywood .. I think this time anything wrong going with boi because as movies extremly well word of mouth the collections are definitly as saying as taran adarsh and komal nhata .
funny thing here is boi has declared krish 3 blockbuster at 139+ crore lol. dala main kuch toh kala hai pakka. means they are underreporting collection . krish was supposed to be a blockbuster if collects 175+ lol . . boi exposed themselves :P
@rajiv….BOI has dec;ared k3 a BLOCKBUSTER not because it collected 139cr nett….but as it will end up collectiong more than 175cr nett + in its lifetime run……as second weekend is holding strongly…..boi knows that k3 can even touch 200cr bett….thats the reason BOI has declared k3 a BLOCKBUSTER….

Krrish 3 may break the record of highest domestic net collection of Chennai Express of 227 crores including tamil & telgu dubbed version, only hindi version wil get difficulties to get past that total, other versions nt countable in records…also Worldwide record is out of reach………..and if any one think that tamil and other dubbed version included in lifetime domestic collection for records , the answer is big no if this is the case than why every site showed Ra.one collection 115 crores approx, Don 2 collection 108 crores approx an The dirty picture collection 80 crores approx, if all version is valid then they must have to shown 124 for Ra.one, 113 for Don 2 and 82 for TDP. But it was fair to not include other versions in recors why it is fair to include Krrish 3, If Krrish 3 brek record it wil be good for industry but don’t make fool and manupulate bollywood lovers with other version when everyone in the trade knows only Hindi version of any movie included as per as records is concern………….I would also like and if indicine makes clear it to all of us. One thing is clear salman khan will be finished next year….by the grace of god,his fans started liking quality movie .poor salman after 25th year passing in Bollywood he is forgetting sensible movie making.first salman now srk , hr has kicked them out competition.now only amir remains. Khans are going to end soon

frankly, when 2013 started the race was only between K3 and D3. CE was never even considored but its gud that CE got so far. K3 will beat CE easily and D3 will find it very difficult to go past K3. Also the reason for the buzz behind D3 is D2 (Hrithik)
