There were rumours doing the rounds that ‘Heropanti’ star Kriti Sanon has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Sultan’.
Now, the actress has denied the reports saying that she hasn’t been offered the role.
“Even I read about me doing Sultan in newspapers… I don’t really know where it comes from and who gets to know all this. They don’t even confirm or check before they write. I would love to do it but I have not been approached so far” Kriti clarified to the media on the sidelines of a Gillette Venus event last night in Mumbai.
Interestingly, names of several prominent actresses like Deepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra are doing the rounds, but they have all rubbished rumours calling it media speculation.
Kriti has also signed director-duo Raj and Krishna DK’s next film ‘Farzi’ where she will be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor. However, the film which was scheduled to go on floors early this year, has been delayed indefinitely and the actress is also unsure whether the film is happening or not.
“There were a lot of changes to be made in the script. So, I don’t know when it is happening. I just know that I am a part of it and I feel it’s not my business to think about other aspects of the filmmaking. I read the script and I really liked it. The directors are really quirky and I just hope it happens soon.”
Kriti will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ where she has been cast opposite Varun Dhawan. The film, also starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, is scheduled for theatrical release on December 18, 2015.
