KICK First Day Collections: Early Estimate

KickSalman Khan’s Kick has exceeded expectations, as the film has collected around 27-29 crore on its first day at the box office. A few centres have under-performed due to various factors like ticket prices, Ramadan period, as well as rains that have lessened but continued to impact business in circuits like Mumbai, Mysore, Tamilnadu and Kerala.

Approx first day figures: Kick has collected around 5.7 crore from Delhi/UP, 2.8 crore from East Punjab, 1 crore from C.I, 1.43 cr from C.P Berar, Rajasthan contributed 1.89 crore, Andhra/Nizam 1.7 cr, Mysore circuit is coming around 1.5 cr. The biggest circuit of them all, Mumbai, has been a mixed bag. Collections from a few centres from Gujarat were much lower than Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express.  Estimates suggest the film has collected around 8 cr in Mumbai.

Business from the above mentioned circuits total to Rs 24 cr, the other smaller territories should collect between 3.5-4 cr taking the first day to somewhere between 27-29 crore net.

For a film released on a normal working Friday, on around 5% higher number of screens as compared to Salman’s last release Jai Ho, with Ramadan impacting business in muslim-dominated areas, the first day business of Kick is outstanding – probably better than the start that Dhoom 3 took in December last year.

  • @mega pirate megha -why dont you shut the heck up as you deserve no right to make a comment when millions of people have paid to watch the film and majority of them experienced a KICK atleast once when watching the film…! You picking holes out of the movie when you should be more concerned about where your hubby goes out to at nights- I bet he visits theatres behind your back and gets his KICK out of watching movies on the Big Silver Screen as opposed to watching rubbish on your pc monitor with your ranting every 30 secs when some member of the audience suddenly stands up disrupting your viewing….!

  • Joke of the millennium- megha thinks she belongs to the high class society…. Jeez not since the days of ’empty brain zone’ have I come across someone so full of cows dung…. Sweetheart if you belong to high society then the standards have really slipped since the last time I checked bcoz I dont think the principality affluent snobs there would ever condone your practice of downloading pirated versions of movies thus supporting the criminal underworld n funding illegal activities like deshdrohi terrorism etc etc…!

  • @shoroti angry young lady- chill out if you didnt get your kick out of KICK bcoz in afew wks Dog Day is releasing and that will have you woofing woofing woof woof from the rooftops touch wood- everyone is entitled to get their kick from whereever they like…
